I was lucky enough to stumble across this little beauty on Ebay last week, it's a quite rare Toltoys Special Offer Dewback. Apparently these were released in Australia only as an overstock item, the Special Offer sticker for a free stormtrooper was applied by Toltoys as a way of increasing sales.

Box is not the best but came with it's original Dewback and the Special Offer stickers are in great nick.

Hi guys last week I received a childhood collection from a nice guy here in Denmark.

Here is what was in the lot, as you can see there is missing a lot of weapons, figures, clothes and parts for vehicles and playset. But still a good collection

This was an awesome score - especially for the Last 17 and the near mint looking Leia!

I've got to admit, before joining this forum I had absolutely no idea of the Dewback's existence- and being a child of the '70s (8 years of age in 1978), I can honestly say that there was no mention of said creature in any advertising here in England that I was aware of, and I certainly didn't see it on the shelves of my local toy shop haunts...

Box is not the best but came with it's original Dewback and the Special Offer stickers are in great nick.

That casting eye is far too critical :wink: looks top notch to me. And the yellowing tape residue? Personally, I love it- I see it as original patina in antiquarian terms, and testament to a spot of patching up by the original owner to keep it looking the best shape it can be. I like a bit of history :lol:

You've really got me thinking, now... I'm going to click that link and head over to SWCA to research a Palitoy version

We never got the Dewback over here Martin - no idea why as it doesn't look a complex toy to make or anything!

Maybe you could get Todd to make a Palitoy box for one?!

Aha! Thanks, Stevie 8) a real shame Palitoy didn't take it on back in the day. Still, it's a great feeling to discover something you never knew existed some 30-odd years later

Great idea about commissioning Todd to do a Palitoy box... he's going to be snowed under with custom orders this winter :wink:

Picked up a couple of more pieces to add to my little focus. First up this awesome luke farmboy 'Popy' figure courtesy of Erik. It looks great displayed, Box and figure are mint 8)

Also took delivery of this mint Tri - logo Gunner card courtesy of Grant. Another one to add to the collection!

Wow- I wish I had a Luke Farmboy focus.

Did they do a POTF Proof?

Grant - Sadly never a Farmboy POTF but there is a Gunner Proof and IMHO even better than that are a couple of sample carded Luke Stormies on the unproduced Gunner cards - pure proto GOLD!!!
