Thanks Joe, when I googled for the slides last week I found a link to theswca as well, but when I clicked on it, it said the content cannot be found or something like that. Just found I hab bookmarked it:
http://theswca.com/index.php?action=disp_item&item_id=3462, if you search for this link on google you see that the title of this article was "35mm Slide". (
https://www.google.de/#hl=de&gs_nf=...gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=cc2054ede1a6bf96)
But I had a talk with my father who is a hobby photographer since the 60ies/70ies and he says there's no doubt about it, the slides are "the 1st step in the development process", so the transparencies are in fact copies of the 35mm slides.
And you can imagine that I had a big smile on my face when these lil pieces were in the post this morning. Not only because of how great they are, but especially because Ed posted his pics in the morning and we were discussing while I received them.
They look like **** on my photos, in person they are even much, MUCH better than I had imagined.
A little information about them:
The Max Rebo Band one is very interesting as it contains one of my focus characters, Lando Skiff. This is the picture that was used for the production Max Rebo box, but Lando Skiff was edited out and Sy Snootles was edited into the spot where Lando was.
On the Jabba playset pic you can clearly see ol' Squiddy with a black cape and golden belt.
The pic of the Ewok village has a Boushh in it. That's why I had to get it.
If you have any info on where the Jabba close up/Ewok Playset pics were used, please let me know.
By the way, this is not the last of me you'll see this weekend... 8) But I wanted to get these online ASAP as we were discussing about these items a lil.
