Finally added this Tsukuda Luke Jedi to my Tsukuda run. Only need 3 more to complete it. Vader, Logray, & Gam Guard

Luke I am your Father! Bubble is Piss yellow, but never comes up for sale ever.

I have owned 3 Yodas over the years and in my personal experience have seen 7 in my life time come to sale on auction sites, but only 3 Darth Vaders.

Very interesting. I've had two pass through my own hands, and I know of at least 3 others. Two of those were on ebay.

That ismn't many though, is it? Maybe because my focus is on Vader, I've missed the Yodas. Suffice to stay that both are tough!!

Cheers
Pat

Newest addition to my slowly being rebuilt collection, a nice unused Y-Wing fighter with the huge added bonus of being originally sold by the toy shop I used to visit close to my childhood home in Wigan 'Winstanley's'.

Loving all the Tsukuda action, must score one of them for my Jedi run. Missed out on a Chirpa one recently. Sweet Y-Wing Kieron, cool ship. I bought something I've wanted for a long time, Yoda on Empire Moc. Love this card with the almost monochrome photo and red and yellow.

Would be funny now if I posted my latest acquisition.. ( it's actually a Yoda MOC )

This is now a 'Yoda convention' thread, and my latest acquisition last week was....

I have finally finished this 'Imperial' Woolies 8-Pack, complete with 100% Palitoy baggies. Been a bigger challenge than expected, no thanks to that bloody baggie scammer we all know about, but finally I have managed to complete it with legitimate baggies. Big thanks to Frank (and many others) for helping me get the correct baggies. Also, found another use for the Early Bird case from GW Acrylic. Works out perfectly for display.

Cheers,
Pat

Great buys everyone, those baggies look fantastic in the case Pat

Andy, welll done on all your buys but this made me laugh - read an airbrushing thread recently and now all I can see is Ben's airbrushed gimp hand

Congratulations on finishing the Woolies run, they look spectacular in the case and what a great set of villains.

A real achievement :D

I had no idea 99p Wookiee packs evennhad baggies in them! I always thought they were pulled off the cards. Super looking set :)

And Yodas galore! Now let's see some Palitoy ones too, please. A 30 back and a 45a will do :D

Lot of purchases recently, but my bestest and the one I'm so pleased with is undoubtedly the hardest to find. I finally found a copy of Buster dates 10/09/1983 with its bag. As a bonus it has never been opened. The tape is untouched at the back. A short summary of these is that all three came out on 10/09/1983 and each of the three came in different coloured bags and the same offer: free ROTJ Pannini sticker album and a packet of stickers. The following week you got the unbagged comic with a sheet of 8 ROTJ stickers. They're not exactly easy to find but the Buster is virtually impossible. 2000AD does turn up (older readership more likely to collect) and even The Eagle turns up now and again (slightly older kids) but Buster was for proper kids who ripped things open so they are daft rare.

Speaking to the seller he picked up a "couple" back in the early 90s. He sold one 10 years ago and another now. Never hit BIN so fast. Until I'd seen this one I'd only speculated the bag was going to be blue given the others were green and red.

The hunt isn't quite over: I need one more sheet of stickers, but compared to the Buster bag that will be a walk in the park!

No doubt photo will be wrong way up.....

Those comic's are great.
It never ceases to amaze me that this sort of item still turns up, let alone in that condition!

They actually had both. You could get a bag full of baggies, a bag full of loose or a mix of both. Most of the time, there was a mix with baggies outnumbering loose, from what I believe. I just wanted to put together an Imperial/Villain set that highlighted Palitoy Baggies. Getting everything correct was the challenge.

Cheers

Thanks for the information.
These packs in Wollies are one of the things I remember vividly, loads of them in a large basket at the end of an row.
Seems like yesterday...

Great run on the comics Simon, love seeing stuff like this come to light, items you never knew existed that are...'beyond the toys'!

Cheers mate (and for reminding me to post elsewhere ;) ) . BTT stuff is certainly a major fun area of collecting. BITD the toys cost too much for my Dad to put up with buying my every wish so the non-toy stuff was as exciting as the toy stuff. One day I'll rediscover my own Jedi album and I am absolutely certain I got it with a copy of Eagle.
