Disney acquires Lucasfilm!!!

I think Disney have said episodes 7, 8 and 9 are coming (as a trilogy) then there will be a new movie every couple of years after them. I would not assume the films coming after the new trilogy follow the timeline forward.

There was talk of a Boba Fett film recently and the live action TV series SW Underworld, I wonder if either of these would become more concrete or its the death of them since the arrival of Disney.

I think the TV show will be the opposite. Disney will be all over that like a rash, in the US market TV shows (good ones) are bigger than Movies. Having a show air week in and week out does wonders for the profile of the brand you own and there is a bigger long term audience. The Underworld scripts are apparently 50 shows deep already so there is a lot to work with and Disney have shown by green lighting the SHIELD TV show spin-off from the Avengers this is something they want to do, remember they have their own subscription channel here and in the US so with big fan based shows on their number goes up and so does their revenue.

A new trilogy, a new live action TV show and the continuation of the Clone Wars, this is what we ill get.

It would also be to strange if they did not make a trilogy. I also hope they will make the action TV series SW Underworld, I have also heard that the first 50 episodes is writen and lucas wanted to make 100 episodes

Hope we will see luke, leia, solo, chewbacca, r2-d2 and c-3po on the millennium falcon again, that could be so cool 8)

I like McGregor but every time he's interviewed about his time in Star Wars he comes across as aloof and as if he's more than happy to distance himself from the whole thing like it's left a bad taste in his mouth.

Clearly the $$ signs are flashing in front of his eyes, or more likely his agents. I don't want him back.

I wish they would stop messing with Star Wars! I only want to see films that stick to the original theme - Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Two robots, Chewie, Darth Vader, The Force, big space ships, and a **** load of other cool alien ****

I do not want to see a stupid long eared halfwit, weary political plot, dire dialogue. The OTT CGI i can deal with but not this extended world of the Jedi and cloning crap. I liked the Emperor though. He was ****ing harsh 8)

pre Ep 1 could be very interesting. But I would still love to see a new movie with han solo, chewbacca, leia and luke. Maybe they will do both.
