Disney acquires Lucasfilm!!!

•23rd October looking like the date we may see the first official major Episode Seven cast news drop.
•One problem may be Apple announcing today a product launch on 22nd and they are a PR drain. They want to avoid the last week of the month to give Thor chance to get the press as it starts international on 30th with US opening 8th Nov.
•Announcements have been held back at Harrison's request so he can do his world press junket without having "to endure" SW Q

Pardon?

The Graham Norton Show returns tomorrow night with special guests Benedict Cumberbatch, Jack Whitehall, James Blunt and Harrison Ford. Ford was only to happy to make clear his keenness to return to one of his former hits.

"In a New York minute, yes. I don't think there is any barrier to Indiana Jones being an old fart.
"I'm old enough that we don't need Connery any more — I'm old enough to play my own father!"
"I used to enjoy physical acting. It was fun. I was more fond of it then than I am now and people don't ask me to do it that much any more."

But the key quote from the interview refers to his potential involvement in Episode VII. On that Ford says this:

"I've not quite made the choice."

Check out The Graham Norton Show tomorrow night at 10.35pm on BBC One.

Watched the show last night and thought it was great. Mr Ford was on great form and I though having Jack Whitehall and Beneric Cumberbatch on with him was inspired.

Worth a watch on I player if you missed it.

Michael Arndt is done, enter Lawrence Kasdan...
Anybody else got the tingles now?

TBH not sure if that is a step forward or backwards! But I'm feeling pretty confident that we won't be seeing EP7 until the very back end of 2015 at the very earliest and more probable than not that it gets a 2016 release date.

Strong rumours that all 3 of our heroes have now signed for a multiple film deal. Ford was waiting for treatment sheets of Ep VII before committing.

Cracking link, Liam. Mr Prowse's advice to budding hopefuls made me chuckle:

The actor who played Darth Vader in the original Star Wars films says hopefuls from Bristol auditioning for the new film should "disguise their accents".

"You can't go 'oo-aar my dear here's my lightsaber," he said.

And great to see a regional bulletin on the impending casting frenzy, Grant. Good stuff 8)

I'm an avid listener of BBC Radio 4 (tweed + waxed moustache + brogues = stereotypical target market), so I am rather aggrieved to report that I happened to miss this the other day:

Thank heavens for 'catch-up', and all that.
