Surely we will have an announcement then.

I'm no film buff, but from what I've read about J.J. Abrams and his previous work I understand he likes to keep his cards close to his chest.

I'm itching to know all the ins and outs on Episode VII as much as the next person... but in this day and age of mass multi media, where everybody knows what's going on before it's even been thought of... I find it really refreshing that Disney haven't played the hype card this early on.

My heart will be on the verge of bursting out of my chest when I hear Maurice Murphy's trumpet heralding the start of the latest instalment in May 2015... but until then, whilst secretly digesting any information I can lay my hands on, I will be overjoyed if the studio can keep as much content as secret as possible right up to the premiere. That will be a feat in itself!

Lucasfilm has just informed us that a fifteen-second Star Wars Rebels teaser will air during the premiere episode of Disney XD's new series Mighty Med from 8:30-9:00pm ET on Monday, October 7. We're also told that the teaser will not include any actual clips from Rebels. As for what it will include, we'll have to wait until next Monday night on Disney XD

There are strong rumours that a cast and title announcement will arrive today or tomorrow.

There is also strong rumours of a video/teaser with Luke Skywalker.

We will see.

If you have found a longer trailer, there is an old 'fan made' animation that has been passed of as the Rebels trailer on YouTube with the Rebels logo added to it, might be what you found.

Either way I would rather have a carded Yak :wink:

Thankfully the thread has moved on from my erroneous link to a Yak face instead of a You Tube clip of rebels...

Anyway I assume any announcement will be tomorrow, opening day at NYCC, seems the right slot. Of course why make any announcement at all, they don't need the publicity or build the hype, we're doing all that for them. Disney may want to get a bit out there but JJ won't. He will keep things locked down until opening night if he could.

How long has it been common knowledge that the release date for Episode VII is 11/11/2015? I've always assumed a traditional May release would continue.
