I don't have time to post any comments here ATM, other than to say I think whoever wins the first test will go on to win the Ashes. It will be a close series, neither side is even close to the level they were at last year but with a little momentum/confidence I could see them winning.

Now I'm just waiting for some typical Aussie modesty on here!

Weasel, I think the Dutch should compete against the Aussies this year. They've shown to be the better team.

England to win 3-0...hat trick from Flintoft....

aww ****, wrong sport....i dont follow cricket but ill predict and England win.

"I think the Dutch should compete against the Aussies this year. They've shown to be the better team" Well this is a british site(with an international feel) and us aussies might be outnumbered but I'm going to come out swinging: you poms can't bat or bowl. The only thing stopping a clean sweep will be rain

I'm in a unique position here as i can support either side. I follow cricket & obviously follow both teams.
I think it will be a close series, & i'm giving the edge to Australia. I too think the first test is important. I reckon if Australia win, they could skip out to a 2/3-0 lead & then it's all over. If England win, the series will be close. Can't see a 3/4/5-0 either way tho...
btw, the new Aussie opener Phil Hughes played his first senior cricket for my local club side Sawtell on the mid north coast. He looked alright then.

Sounds like cricket talk to me :) Pity you got it the wrong way round!

Where have all these ozzies come from all of a sudden!

This is one of the best sledging stories I've heard: As Ian Botham strolled to the crease, Rod Marsh asked " how's the wife & MY kids?" reply "wife's great the kids are retarded"

I'm kind of neutral as well, but ****ing hell England were lucky!
Completely outplayed for 4 (arguably 5) days and they get a draw out of it.

Although with England's stellar record at Lord's against the convicts they are bound to win!

Ohh and good one Capetown!

That England Physio has bigger tits than a few birds I've shagged :? (Insert your own paedophile joke)

"I think some bloke rubbed his balls so hard it left red stains on their pants.."  My wife used to think they did that for good luck  Anyway 250 runs or 5 wickets, unless it rains we are going to get a result.
