Probably on my list too. Don't stay at a campsite called Hadrian's Wall campsite al Melkridge. The guy is a miserable old bastard and it's about 2 mile from the wall anyway. Winshields campsite is fine, the guy is also a miserable old bastard, but not as bad. If you're b and bing then the pub at Twice Brewed is canny. All places are about 2 miles West of Housesteads Fort and are near the 'Robin Hood Tree' from Prince of thieves.

Thanks for the Tips, most of it will be wild camping, Bivi bag and the great out doors, who needs a tent? I will book myself a hotel or B&B as a treat at the end of the walk. still need to look into it a bit more.

Giving this an ancient bump (although I'm sure there's a more recent version somewhere)

I've been reading this whilst away, well worth a read - it's a historic novelisation of the start of the collapse of the iron curtain in Hungary.
