Why did we get no Slave Leia figure but 2 Klaatus???

It always bothered me when I was younger as to why we got two Klaatus but no Slave Leia etc.
I mean some of the first and second wave of figs from ROTJ were hardly big hitters in the film. Rancor Keeper, PruneFace, Squid Head and yet were worthy of figs above main characters.

What do you think was the least worthy figure from the films and the most overlooked from the OG lines??

I miss that spy vs spy guy who betrays Luke and the droids in Mos Eisley. Would have made a perfect figure to kill in many interesting ways. :wink:

Squid Head is pretty much one of my favourite ROTJ figures (along with the ERG and Bib Fortuna) but the issue of a second Klaatu is mind-boggling. {rune face is also a very strange one.
I always thought they missed a few great character/figure opportunities. Garindan would have been awesome.

Ephant Mon would have been cool.

And It's unbelievable that they didn't bother with the rebel soldiers from the first scene of the first film.

Those are my 3 choices.

Does Boushh count.... we also had the Endor fig, always steered clear of the Bespin one though, mainly because I thought the design on the cape looked like someone had gone mad with a Spirogrpah on the back of it....

I hated Spirographs with a passion :twisted:

I would have been all over the Slave Leia fig even as a kid though, always wanted the white Protocol droid from Hoth, would've easily swapped a Klaatu for that.

I agree with the rebel fleet soldiers. They were part of the most iconic scene in Star Wars, yet we got the Death Star Commander rather than this?

But I guess you coule make a custom one out of Han's body, Death Star Commander's head and a bit of paint.

I think Spoons nailed this one with the fact that the Leia figures simply didnt prove to be that popular.

It is rumoured that this is why she appears in the series one Heroes 3 Pack, as an effort to shift her as a figure. Lets face it, alongside Obi Wan Kenobi and Han Solo in the Heroes 3 Pack it surely would have made more sence to have Luke!!

Leia was hardly a hero. Maybe a heroin. In fact she spent most of the dam film being rescued! Lol

Why they never did Tarkin was always beyond me. Also, why do Luke stormy and no Han? Just another head sculpt and they'd have had it.

Slave Leia I always thought may have been considered a little risqué by George and Co back in the day.

I owned a Leia Boush. Thoughtnit was the nuts then and still do.. One of my favourite SW figures. But no, never owned any other Leias.

Erm...I owned all the leias as kids. I would have loved a blockade runner rebel soldier though, or a Han stormy.

Although only the ROTJ ones survived into my adulthood...
