Is nobody on here just a binman, postman etc????? Lol!!

JayJedi and Jabba are both plasterers. I think we have/had a postman on here. Can't for the life of me remember who it was though!

cheers chaps - I actually survived redundancy but decided to go on my own terms, I thought it was time for a change and this way I get a pay off and a new job.

Sorry mate, I knew we had a postie, but my memory is going in my auld age!

I should be so lucky - the doc has just told me I've got arthritis in my knees

I'm going to pick out a walking stick this weekend

Jesus Spoons, it never rains but it pours!

Is there anything they can do for it? Is it bad ATM?

I cycle 12 miles a day without pain so its not too bad, just hurts when I kneel. The doc has told me to 'flex' my thighs 100 times a day and the knee caps will eventually get covered in muscle and come away from the legs :?

Sounds bizarre, but then last time I went to see him with a sore Achilles he told me to walk on tiptoes for a couple of weeks

I have to do the same exercises every day as I have no cartilage left in my right knee

Sorry to hear that, sounds like I'm not too bad then - do the exercises actually help?

Defiantly - my specialist said that by increasing the muscle mass & strength of the surrounding muscles, the actual joint has less strain/impact.

Sounds odd but it works for me  Oh, and I certainly get some odd looks as I do my squats as I cook my lunch at work

One other thing. make sure your knee and ankle are in line when on your bike, mine were not so my pedal stroke wasn't helping my knee
