These things must have literally been submerged in water to get to the state they are in, one cardback snapped in half when i held it ( reckon the price on that one went up 30%).

Just had a chat with Kathy about it and she told me more about your unusual lot.
The Palitoy guy assumed Vectis wouldn't want the damaged stuff and was about to throw it out. It was all in a black bin bag ready to be binned!
Kathy rescued it and put all the contents in the box you now have. She didn't recall seeing the footers etc, though they could have got stuck in the bag. I guess some of the MOC could also have got damaged in the bin bag just before Vectis got them.
Great and unsual piece gone to the right collector. Well done mate. Me thinks you should get Tracey Emin to help you with your display of that one.

Thanks Andy, good to know more about it.
If I recall right 8 ESB figs are still on cards, would have loved for the Vader or just 1 of the many Jawas to have hung on in there but alas no.
Ill be on the phone to Tracy for layout ideas and Damien for his display input (no more liquids though)
Don't know how just yet but ill be damned if I cant do some justice for this lot!

Glad they will not be u graded as the others have said. I too would also like to see photos of what was exactly in that box when you get chance as I am currently collecting open/reseal palitoy cards and good to see they are still showing up.

You are probably right on the price. I have only started collecting again in the last couple of years with a very small budget. Hence I get re-seals and some with only the card back. I don't seem to be getting much as prices are crazy on Palitoy at the moment. Did pickup a couple of trilogo's from here though.
It is the nostalgia for me so I just appreciate what I have in my collection or just look at the showcase pictures on the forum to cheer me up.

Some pics of the Vectis damaged case of 12 and 30 backs.
Loose figs, most weapons are still taped to the inside of the bubbles:
11 figures still on cards, some fully sealed, others the bubble is just about hanging in there. Couple of examples of the fully sealed ones, starting with the Han Hoth 30a. I won the better example last Wednesday and considering what i forked out for it, its great to have this one too:

And my personal favorite out of the whole lot is this 12 back Jawa, bubble not attached, no original footer but stuck to the back of this card is the side of the original Palitoy shipping case with the factory case reference info:
Other carded figs were Hoth Rebel Soldier, Lando and Luke Bespin.
There was 1 Vader 12 back but the bubble was off that one unfortunately.
