I guess only time will tell what MOC's are in that shipping case... A lot of speculation at the moment.
mr_palitoy said:So given we won't know for a while, let's speculate on the contents of the box.
I think we can have a pretty accurate guess as the contents.
The case won't contain 4 of each figure for a total of 4 sets. Some figures were more popular than others, some were meant to be bought in multiples like stormtrooper, jawa and sand people. We know from surviving MOCs that the rarity order is rougly:-
1 Luke
2 Ben
3 Chewbacca
4 Leia
5 Han (Pin Head)
6 Vader
7 Deathsquad commander
8 Stormtrooper
9 R2D2
10 Sandpeople
11 Jawa
12 C3P0
That was from Gary in 2003:-

Here's the AFA totals for those 12 backs:-
10 Luke
8 Ben
7 Chewbacca
13 Leia
6 Han (Large Head)
10 Han (Pin Head)
19 Vader
19 Deathsquad commander
21 Stormtrooper
16 R2D2
26 Sandpeople
9 Jawa (Cloth Cape)
1 Jawa (Vinyl Cape)
20 C3P0
185 Total
In term of variations any Hans are likely to be either all large or all pin head. I'm guessing they will all be pin head.
I'm also guessing all the Jawas will be cloth cape.
In terms of a breakdown, I'm going with the AFA ratios, so that would comprise a box containing:-
3 Luke
2 Ben
2 Chewbacca
3 Leia
4 Han (Pin Head)
5 Vader
5 Deathsquad commander
5 Stormtrooper
4 R2D2
7 Sandpeople
3 Jawa (Cloth Cape)
5 C3P0
What's anyone else guess then?

JFK said:I personely thought that Craig's items didn't quite hit the money everyone thought they might achieve and now I've read all this ,I can see why ,vectis has lost some commission therebut saying that ,what a grail of a find , so is it possible to derail a potential auction if you make a outrageous offer outside the auction ,so if you offered over £100 grand theese might never see the auction floor !! Best pop down see Kathy have a peek in theese boxs

I wonder what the advantages of auction house selling are. I always presumed that it was the service that a buyer got, and you would receive your items well packaged, insured and very swiftly but another SWFUK thread seems to be saying that Vectis have been many orders of magnitude worse than a regular Ebay / facebook seller in this regard.

OTB Records said:Just my two pennies' worth. I haven't been following the recent Vectis Star Wars auctions that closely but with the recent news of a 'long lost hoard' of factory fresh items being found my curiosity was awoken. Personally I feel that the way Vectis handled the release of information over this 'find' as very poor and that their actions hindered the second Star Wars sale on 24th. I feel sorry for the vendor of the pieces on 24th. Because of the vague teasing information released by Vectis I wouldn't be surprised if certain high-end collectors held back from bidding.
