Tri logo 8D8

None. The only packaged 8D8 with any mention of Macau is the Macau baggie, of course unfortunately 8D8 lacks a COO on the figure so the packaging COO is no indication of where it was actually made :(

I did try to look at various releases for subtle differences, all I can really make out is that European releases seem to have slightly darker brown paint apps compared to US releases but the difference is so slight it really isn't worth getting excited over!

Thanks Joe, that's what I thought as I'd never even seen a Macau until I seen Franks.

I've also had a good look at many loose 8D8's and apart from the Ledy and the rings on there legs, which you once told me had nothing to do with where they where made or the cards they appeared on, there isn't any real differences. I even thought they all could have come from the same factory until I seen Franks.

Yeah that is pretty much the long and short of it Scott, shame really as I would have quite liked tracking down COO markings (can't believe I am saying that  )

I had two Macau bags at one time, I sold one to Nick (silvergrin) who may still have it? You don't see too many of them about, I have probably seen less than 10 in the last few years.

It's probable/possible the Macau bagged figure is the one that ended up on Meccano Trilogos but as there is just no way to tell from the figure it's impossible to say with any certainty - we just know that Macau supplied France with a lot of figures.

I was thinking the same thing on the Macau/meccano connection Joe, especially now after hearing about the Palitoy baggie. IMO there's also quite a few Macau made figures on Palitoy ROTJ and Tri-Logo's cards.
