Top 3 favourite scenes/moments from ANH, ESB or ROTJ?

Hi guys,

I was just wondering what peoples favourite scenes from these films are?

Mine are as follows:

1) Now young skywalker, you will die

2) No Luke I am your father

3) Now the circle is complete, when I left you I was but the learner, now I am the master.

Looking forward to peoples choices.

I like all the bits with Jar Jar I hope they resurrect his character for the new films :) no in all seriousness i like
1 the Vader Ben fight in ANH
2 the Fett Vader discussion in the cryo chamber
3 the whole luke vader ESB Fight scene

ROTJ IMHO Sucks ass i cant stand any of that film!
 
Jedi is my favourite...though I fear I am in a minority! :?


1. The Super Star Destroyer Crashing into the death star (ROTJ)
2. Love the scene of Luke/Ben looking over Mos Eisley (ANH)
3. Vader Saving Luke (ROTJ)
 
1- the opening scene and the apearance of darth vader - class
2-the first sight of the at-at approaching the rebel base on hoth( i was terrified of that scene as a kid)
3- The speeder bike chase

ANH) The opening scene when Vader storms on to the rebel ship. I must have watched that a thousand times.

ESB) 'He's no good to me dead.' When Fett gets a little brave to Vader as Han gets frozen.

ROTJ) Just as Luke gives R2 the salute when he's about to be put in the Saarlac Pit. That's my favourite bit from the trilogy. Class.
 
ANH - the music kicking in then the opening crawl
ESB - panning out to reveal the AT-AT
ROTJ - star destroyer crash


BTW does anyone else get irritated by the emperor's childish response your faith in your friends is yours?

There is so many great scenes, but I would say

1. vader telling luke that he is his father :eek:

2. vader killing ozzel :D

3. vader killing the emperor :shock:
 
Mine are more 'segments rather than single scenes. Some go on for a large chunk of the film but still...

1) Jabba's Palace (and all that follows. That whole segment is amazing)
2) Droids land on Tatooine in ANH/Droids get captured by Jawas/Luke buys the droids/cleans the droids/loses R2 (just love the pacing and 'set-up'. This whole section is so vivid from my childhood)
3) Luke visits/meets/trains with Yoda. (just love the whole feel of this segment. Really sums up ESB)

Hoth came close a 3rd choice and of course so many other scenes. Luke, Han and Ben in Mos Eisley was also a front runner.
 
I can only pick three?

Luke's sunset on Tatooine in ANH.
Too many to choose from in ESB, but I'm going to go with Luke & Vader's silhouetted lightsaber duel.
The space battle in ROTJ. Still incredible to watch.

ANH: Cantina scene, 'He doesn't like you!'

ESB: Introduction of the bounty Hunters, 'No disintegrations'

ROTJ: Vader watching Luke getting 'shocked' by the Emperor

There are just so many more...
 
ANH: Trench "I have you now"
ESB: Carbon Freezing.."Hey hey listen to me Chewie, the princess, you got to take care of her"
ROTJ: Luke gets angry "If you will not turn to the dark side, then prehaps she will". The music is really powerful here, bravo Mr Williams
 
Good idea for a thread sir.......
My 3 would be...
1. Thrash compactor scene
2. Luke v vader ESB
3. Lukes entrance as a Jedi knight into jabbas palace
