Today on Facebook...

All this important second hand information.

I need to get involved with Facebook more, I'm afraid forums are a dying format.
There's a place for both and I must stress that 95%+ on fb is just noise. Without reiterating some of the above, the majority is "guess what's in this box" or "beaters for sale".

Talking of fractious, a lot of anger on the echo group tonight as a '90 chaser' has opened a moc.

There was something on there or Jabba's yesterday too... could be the same story. Guy bought an MOC pop up R2 end of last year... and is now selling just the cardback !!

Obviously FB is now drawing in the feckwits that don't care about the hobby, and are purely in it for the money... even if it means opening an MOC

Some people just need to burn...

No mate, the one I saw was a snaggletooth with damaged bubble that a buyer bought under false pretences. I'll look for the r2 once later. The way r2 popup has ridiculously appreciated, I'm saddened but unsurprised.

It was the same person that opened both the Snag and the R2

And who purchased a load of baggie C3POs and had them graded as loose - with the backpack still sealed

There's a facebook group called 'Plastic crack'?! Am I the only who one hates that phrase?

No. It's a term spawned from Facebook that sums up the mentality of some of those collectors driving prices.

To me, to compare this hobby to drug addiction shows how the modern collector views things. A short term fix to make them feel better before they must obtain another.

Anyone who has been in this for a while understands time, effort, research and patience patience patioence are what gets you anywhere. Not the attributes displayed by a crack addict.

I don't think it's a derogatory term, I also collect vinyl and it has been called "black crack" for years. It's not meant to be offensive or ridicule those addicted to drugs, it's just a poke at the fact it drains all your money.

It's pretty meh but I guess it is an addictive hobby so why not.

There's also a strong desire for people to keep making reference to rocking horse **** for some reason

Another variant rant. Just saw a post where somebody is asking why his "family 2" Han Bespin has a different head sculpt from another family 2 Han he has.

BECAUSE IT'S ALL MADE UP BULLSHIT!

Yeah you would have thought  He got told by admin it was too high & to take it to a sales forum if he really wanted that price for it, and the seller then accused him of price bashing FFS
