Today on Facebook...

Hilarious, almost as funny as it being a registered company yet it's all about 'the community' can't wait for the accounts to be published next year

Another Leia listed for £120... and with posts needing approval the admin are letting this unnecessary price increase happen...

Just saw that £120 Leia, £90 Farmboy also. Crazy. How are people meant to learn if you can't comment on any post?

Noticed that price bashing is now a bannable offence. What a joke, I can't be bothered with that lot any more, let the morons run wild with the other morons.

 sounds like it's not getting any better!!!! The Cock knockery continues and the admins continue to build their Trump style wall around their members. Echo spirit? Echo prices? Glad I waved that lot goodbye.

People starting to cash in on the Leia price hike, lots of them coming up for sale

MTFBWY

I infiltrated Echo on a friends account today and from what I saw alot of the people asking stupid money for stuff are not new, they know exactly what they're doing and how much they're overcharging by
EBay is genuinely cheaper.
As for the pinned post telling people to do their research and not to get taken advantage of yet in another sentence banning promotion of or links to other forums/groups/pages/ebay where such education could be undertaken.

Absolute joke, talk about a dictatorship. Banning all talk of other groups, resources and sales pages it's censorship beyond belief. Makes you wonder why, what the admins get out if it apart from the hero worship. The collectors on there are like robots, lapping it up. Echo spirit? ****ing muppets.

When I keep reading all this I don't think I'll ever join any of those Facebook groups now. It really does show how great this little forum is.

Just a few things about why we're approving posts for the next few days - with the current hysteria regarding Leia Organa figures peaking at ridiculous prices this has naturally resulted in an avalanche of duplicated, sometimes pretty toxic posts about the current state of prices. For that reason, we've been approving posts and not putting on any of the same posts complaining that we're doing nothing about prices etc; and the fact that some have been quite abusive to other sellers. An unfortunate thing to have to do, but necessary at least until the discord blows over.
All other posts are approved, so it's not a dictatorship or anything, it's just to try and stem the bad feeling and negativity in repeated posts regurgitating the same topic.
Right or wrong, it's causing too much bad feeling. We've been accused of trying to fix pricing on Echo with the price guide, so we did away with it and now we get criticised for letting the prices go as we've essentially washed our hands of it.
It's a pretty miserable time to be a buyer right now, I think many would agree.
To address the rule about stifling education from other groups and pages, that's not true in that sense, we welcome links for educational purposes, more than ever right now, although we don't allow eBay links (because more often than not, links are posted to current or recently finished auctions).
I'd just like to say the post approvals aren't being done for some of the reasons mentioned above, nor is there any attempt to influence buyers and sellers in any way.
We're constantly talking with Jabba's and Yavin admins about how to make things better for all members in all groups.
Hopefully we can come up with some ideas that might inject a little more common sense and get some people back to enjoying the hobby again.
We're trying our best, honest!
