Today on Facebook...

Went back on a few days ago to find some bits and pieces and also sell. Forgot just how much I hate it.Made the mistake of saying I was looking for a Boba reseal (amongst other 'legit' items) and was jumped on instantly- the first comment was a sarcastic 'reseal, really?' Deactivated again now.

And this deliverer of sarcastic put downs, he had the reddies for a factory sealed ESB Fett did he. What a tool

That's the funny thing about the bigger groups, despite being 99% amateur collectors that don't know anything beyond the basic loose figures, they sure are quick to shoot people down!

What a prick. Reseals (using original parts) are the only way to get some figures! I kind of agreed with being a bit snooty about them when a moc was £50 - but these days, a good reseal is fair game IMO!

The lack of knowledge is a scary thing as most will have no idea there is a difference between a reseal and an recard.
The lack of willingness to learn can be just plain frustrating.

There's a lot of posturing going on with posts like 'reseal, really?'.

See also anything about 'fleabay'.

When it's another interest, I assume such arseyness was from 14-year-olds, then I remember that this is vintage toy collecting so we're probably talking about grown men.

£48 for a Hoth Trooper with a tear in the skirt hole

I remember before FB really kicked off, EBAY was know as Fleabay and Evilbay on here. It's amazing that FB has made some of us defenders of it

I like how the fifty quid Snowtrooper chancer mentioned that with eBay being a minefield of repro, his price was a fair one. I'll take my chances.

Btw, in fairness to everyone else, nobody bought it at that price. I suppose it's the FB equivalent of the eBay buy-it-now that's going to sit there until the end of days. The main difference being that the FB way takes some gall because it requires your real name beside it.

ssshhhh, some of us have enjoyed everyone avoiding eBay! :)

Exactly Edd... I'm currently awaiting delivery of my under £42 eBay item.... :D
I can't wait to see what it is having just been nosey at some completed listings

A black palace blaster just went for £48

Sold 2 early last year for £20.

...which is a bargain compared to 330 quid for a Bespin blaster ( of the metallic looking variant kind ).
