By the looks of the past few days £270 is a good price for a loose blue snaggletooth and over £100 for a loose hollow tubes Tusken !! WTF is going on ??
£270 seems fine, how else are you supposed to make a profit when you bought it on eBay for £220?

Oh how times have changed... used to be the reverse !!

Off to ebay I go for bargains as I can make a nice little earner on FB.

eBay is the place to go ! FB prices are way off target on most things now .

There are still about 6000 Facebook users who seem to think that eBay is the devil, because somebody else told them it was.

I imagine a good 85% of the stuff on the groups comes from Ebay now.

Ben, I told you information on FB is fixed!! :D

I never see anything on FB I consider to be good value or a bargain. It's always priced right at the top from the get-go.

At least with eBay you can get a thrill from the low prices in the beginning and if you are lucky it might finish at a great price too!

The times you actually see a well priced item it's gone before you can do a damn thing about it

It was me who sold the blue snag on facebook is 270 overpriced for a really nice example im not looking for a argument just asking this was a very very good one and i didnt buy it from ebay for 220 it was mine.

Doesn't seem crazy to me if it was gem mint, I bought a fairly rough one for £135 earlier this year and most agreed that was reasonable

Here's a rock solid example of FB driving prices up. A trilogo Vader sold on eBay for $1000 because it had a rare Clipper sticker on the front. Thinking he is sitting on a fortune, some guy asks for a valuation on his standard and rather beat up one. He is swiftly told why the Clipper one went so high, and is given (IMO too high) estimates of $200-250. I think it's worth more like $100 max in shitty condition like his.

So what does he then put it up for sale for? $375!

:( Sigh..

That guy asked for my help when he bought that figure, in fact he literally wanted me there the moment he met with the previous owner so I could assess condition and advise on price in real time.

He bought the Vader and a Stormtrooper and I told him (based on rarity and condition) that he didn't want to pay more than $250 for the two (either $125 each or $100 for the Vader and $150 for the stormie)..he then haggled the guy down to $160 for both!

He knows full well what they are "worth" based on our conversation alone..just another opportunist "collector" who thought he could cash in after seeing a variant sell for a crazy price.
