Today on Facebook...

I don't mind seeing pics that members post for COTW (collectable of the week) but you will always have the Afa number chasers that will post what they have showing 1 photo of the moc front but about 3 different angles of the Afa label

It's funny that this is both the best and worst thing about Facebook IMO. The groups and the COTWs that get posted allow members an easier (from loading images standpoint and also a more targeted invitation to post a particular collectible) limelight than you would find on the forums. They are great for allowing people to share images of their items. But I also fear that they have lead to a sharp decline of limelights of runs or focuses or entire collections you used to see posted on the forums all the time. Hell, I am as guilty as anyone else of not posting a limelight in a while. But once the collection room is up in a few months, I hope to do one.

Perhaps it's time to leave all the 'extra' FB groups and condense them down. Let the ones that are run by admins who know little more than goldfish with amnesia die off, or even better give them the ****tards and trolls.

"Repo' really winds me up too.

The "Admin please delete if not allowed" posts baffle me - if admin want to delete your post they'll do it, with or without your permission, but if you feel you might need permission then ask for it first!

Yes this is the one that really gets on my tits  :x I mean come on why!!!

I posted a variant the other day and some twat started asking if it had been painted and then wanted admin to come in and give some sort of provenance, I mean FFS do some bloody research you lazy twat!!!!!

That doesn't matter any more, according to Facebook VC Jawas without the cape are still worth £100+. Seriously.

£91 plus postage but but.... it's mint and it's Star Wars!!

IF you've got a mint cape on a jawa with wear, and IF you were about to send it for grading and wanted the highest grade, I can see a naked mint jawa with the right COO being worth £100 - if thats the difference between an 80 and 85, its probably worth more! There are a few 'Ifs' in there, and no way should a naked jawa be worth that much in 99% of cases.

That is a fair point. Although you could have just gone to eBay, or here, and pick one up for a tenner :)

But that would require work and knowledge and wouldn't include putting up a poorly written WTB ad in the group.

In other news even Anakins are bucking the trend even on Facebook they are going for £14. I nearly made my first Facebook purchase but how many Anakins do you really need?

Although Trilogos now seem to be considered a £100 card? I would baulk at going over £50
