Just a few things about why we're approving posts for the next few days - with the current hysteria regarding Leia Organa figures peaking at ridiculous prices this has naturally resulted in an avalanche of duplicated, sometimes pretty toxic posts about the current state of prices. For that reason, we've been approving posts and not putting on any of the same posts complaining that we're doing nothing about prices etc; and the fact that some have been quite abusive to other sellers. An unfortunate thing to have to do, but necessary at least until the discord blows over.
All other posts are approved, so it's not a dictatorship or anything, it's just to try and stem the bad feeling and negativity in repeated posts regurgitating the same topic.
Right or wrong, it's causing too much bad feeling. We've been accused of trying to fix pricing on Echo with the price guide, so we did away with it and now we get criticised for letting the prices go as we've essentially washed our hands of it.
It's a pretty miserable time to be a buyer right now, I think many would agree.
To address the rule about stifling education from other groups and pages, that's not true in that sense, we welcome links for educational purposes, more than ever right now, although we don't allow eBay links (because more often than not, links are posted to current or recently finished auctions).
I'd just like to say the post approvals aren't being done for some of the reasons mentioned above, nor is there any attempt to influence buyers and sellers in any way.
We're constantly talking with Jabba's and Yavin admins about how to make things better for all members in all groups.
Hopefully we can come up with some ideas that might inject a little more common sense and get some people back to enjoying the hobby again.
We're trying our best, honest!
