Really wanted to preorder the speeder bike, read your post (thank you) and went straight to SAF.
It was sold out by then unfortunately but to be honest looking at the price I'm kinda glad it was - £60 including postage…….modern is just getting to expensive these days.

C&C look to still have some, but I'm with you on pricing. I just bought the R1 X-Wing for £60 which I think is fair. The original 100 plus was off the charts bonkers

That was the import price. UK stock was £45. It's Hasbro playing stupid arses with the amount of stock allocated to UK dealers. An absolute joke!!

To be honest I don't even know what they UK market is anymore.

SW are kids toys (if we are being honest - despite the price...) - yet every mainstream store/website that most parents/kids would use, carry little to no SW stock. Yes stores like Forbidden Planet have stock - but I wouldn't call that mainstream to the average kid/family in the UK - I mean Argos, The Entertainer, Smyths etc. - even Amazon is limited.

Which means the bulk of sales are through specialist websites, which lets face it only the 'fan-boy nerds' know about.

So does that mean Hasbro now view the UK as a mostly Adult/Fan-boy market with only smaller toy sales to kids - or am I missing something and in fact millions of kids up and down the country are buys SW toys on a weekly basis?

So Amazon is a big old global company - so why is when they have exclusives they don't seem to be able to get them up globally. I assume eventually they will get into the UK - but there is no really reason for it. Anyway The new Retro 2-Pack and the Carbonised 40th Jedi Black Series figures are up on Amazon US.

I ordered both, which will ship to the UK for a 8 dollars a pop, (Can cancel later if they pop up in the UK later - which I am sure they will...)

Amazon product ASIN B0B3G74THX

It is bonkers - Part of me feels the Jedi 40th is the beginning of the end - it looks a great line but a lot of it is too expensive and if that is the new bar then it's hard to justify going forward.

That said - as a massive lego collector I'm seeing the same thing - prices have just gone through the roof. This weekend the first Christmas promo is out. In years gone by this would have been free with maybe 80 or 100 at the most - this year it is 170.... and more and more sets are well north of 100 - in fact many 100's is now the norm.

Overall collecting of anything has shot up in cost. Personally at least, for the 40th Jedi stuff I'm just glad it is a strong lineup of figures across the various ranges making them desirable.

Zavvi seem to have a few items reduced - I wouldn't call it a Black Friday Deal though - but a few things

New AT-ST and Bunker up for pre-orders and seemingly sold out :)
I ended up getting the bunker from Zavvi - but that AT-ST and almost 100 is way... way over priced - passing on that and hope it gets heavy discount down the road - shame as I really want a full 40th set, but 100 for a scout walker.....

I think they've missed a trick in making Rex on Endor cannon with that one. Still, nice to get a Nik Sant figure

To be honest I was hoping for a bigger, better scaled bunker - or even better an Ewok Village. What we have here is pretty low rent if we are honest.
The speeder bike is nice and goes well with the bunker - which is why they went AT-ST I guess, but they could have done so much more....

I would have loved to see a Rex figure from Jedi - in fact is there a better candidate for a three figure pack - a Clone Wars version, a Rebels version and a Jedi version - that would be awesome....
