I wouldn't worry about too many Directors; look at the OT! If anything, I think it may have helped give each of the films it's own unique feel and that has to be considered another strength of the OT, so don't worry about it, It'll be fine
Reading this thread I think I must be the only fan of Gleeson's Hux! Yes, it was OTT and yes he came across as a complete nut job, but for me that was how he was supposed be and the First Order a none too camouflaged 3rd Reich. Again, it's a bit lazy of the story to draw that parallel and the first three films managed to keep history and story telling separated despite there being names like Stomrtrooper and Death Squad Commander (quickly changed) about. The merging of history and fiction is blunt and unnecessary here but if Gleeson had a role to full I think he did it quite well.
