Thought I had added some context, the figure itself is Typhus for those not up on things warhammer 40k. Trying out some techniques and changing up my usual paint pallet range for some warmer colours and having some fun with rust and corrosion.

Ill post a pic once im happy with the end product, some good stuff posted up on here so far keep it up. 8)

And the Golden Demon award for the most talentless twat 2020 (and every other year) goes to.....

Me

My current work in progress has only reinforced what I knew as a teenager.....painting is not my forte. Still, it's an enjoyable way to kill half an hour every now and again.

Awesome looking plague dude by the way Sundancer Squadron

Thank you, i took a break from painting warhammer for about 5-6 years but slowly getting back into the swing of things, I find it helps me relax a bit.

lejackal Top man, doing good.

Love that old Stegadon, I had a bunch of them when I was younger. The great thing about the older metal miniatures is that no matter what happens with the paint, as your experience and methods improve you can go back strip it with easy then try again. So don't ever fear messing anything up, I still do all the time  I would strongly recommend some of GWs little guides they do from time to time, worth a look.

Ill stick up one of my current works in progress in a bit 8)

Whilst ill be working through these bad times, ill make some extra effort to get some painting done. Hopefully it will help me unwind and keep my mind off things. These are for my own Death Guard army that ill be painting to my idea of table top standard, The other dude is just for fun. 8)

Hope you like them

Lockdown 1:48 scale F-14 Tomcat. Took about 3 months. Custom base using a photo I took on when flying into Las Vegas, and the firing missile was a little addition I came up with. Must do something Star Wars next. The canopy isn't sealed yet as I got bored before I'd finished the pilot's belts lol. Hence why it looks loose. I'll get around to it one day.

Amazing looking work and well worth all the time you put into it. The custom base works really well (especially with the missile addition), and it's also a personal reminder for you with taking the picture.

Really great to see so thanks for posting,

I hadn't noticed this before but that's some great paintwork you've done there and I can never understand how you can get the lines so cleanly done at this scale, I could never get even close to this.

Some incredible hands at work here! There's nothing like getting into the zone with painting, hot coffee and some background music. I must buy a new model kit soon! I've been looking at a few recently.

stormcab love that diorama - looks amazing! Really dynamic.

Sundancer Squadron they are really stunning!!! Have shown my son, who has started to get into Warhammer. Something for him to aspire to! This is one of his recent efforts- he hasn't been painting long, but has done a load of research, with good results.

Thanks @cazza @palifan

Always wanted to do a Hoth diorama. Having all 5 At-Ats attacking the base while speeders fly round them. Just don't have the space for that sort of thing though.
