Tried sneaking a legacy falcon into my mums house and planned to move to our loft when we got back from holiday. Got caught red handed lol.

I will never understand compromising who you are just to be with someone. The relationship isn't an honest one if you have to change yourself or hide stuff. Your partner is supposed to be a reflection of who you are. It's crazy to be with someone who hates major aspects of your life. But that's just me. I'm a collector of props and costumes and no one can tell me otherwise. If they do good bye to them.
My wife knows I'm into things like model building and Star Wars. She's absolutely fine with it. The only thing I never really went into detail about was my MAD magazine collection. I don't think she'd get it. It's not even an expensive collection.
My wife has been great and very trusting with my collecting. Happy for me to have my collecting room, happy for me to upsize my aquarium etc etc. I never spend any of my earnings on collecting, which helps. Always sell to buy and I'm always up front and run it by her if it will impact the family at all.

My wife has always been great about my SW collection. Her idea to turn spare room into a wee man cave display area.
I try to self fund anything I buy and a lot of the time things will get hidden away until Birthdays, Christmas or Father's Day which just makes them a bit more special.

My misses is very supportive of my collecting vintage SW, and even my LEGO obsession....yep I'm obsessed with collecting SW Minifigures and anything else I can get my hands on 
I did get an ear full the other day for buying a couple of SW books!!
