Scammer Jose Crovetto

Looks like the lowest of the low. Sending out empty envelopes

Name appears to be Cary Martinez

Beware Guys :x

and there is the problem with dealing on FB. While Ebay can be risky, the risk to me is far less than on FB. The other problem with dealing on FB is people can pretty much say what they want to about any deal or seller and can continue to do so forever. While this guy is legitimately a piece of ****, I sometimes question some of the motives on FB for bad mouthing other sellers. FB makes a great platform to allow some to bash others on numerous pages. While this can also be done on a forum, there is more of a member feel rather than just random chaos and a free for all. I am hesitant to purchase anything on any of the groups unless I actually know the seller.

This leads to another observation. I have a page myself (Which is small), but looking at many of these groups all they really are basically is glorified sales pages mixed with people showing me tons of their newly cased AFA garbage. There is no discussion of vintage hardly, no questions other than "Hey...is that for sale?". Oh and random videos of stupid SW parodies or news about the new movies which can be easily found.

I know I have went off course from the subject, but after spending several months in these groups, I have to say hands down SWFUK is my homebase and will always be.

Stepping off my soap box...........................

Well said bud :D

FB is all well and good for those that want it...fill your boots :!:

This forum is a place of knowledge, fun, support, and simple friendly comradery

Could not agree more Todd.

After recent months I've found the FB groups really tiresome - same **** time and again. There are one or two good groups and a handful of decent types but there really are some monumental nut lickers out there.

When you want to link a specific FB "thread" Liam, click the time stamp under the OP's name. It will then give you the correct url: https://www.facebook.com/groups/vintagestarwarsactionfigures/permalink/10152953650529806/

Ah. Excellent advice Joe. Thanks mate :)

I think it needs to be made very clear on those FB pages, as it has been on here, to NEVER pay anyone by paypal gift or anything other than 'paying for goods' by paypal. We've learnt not to assume people have the basic common sense to not do something that stupid.

I must admit i see some nice stuff come up for sale on those groups but have never brought anything as I don't trust it. Part of the problem is not being able to recognise some sellers who are well known on the boards as I don't know them by anything other than there forum names.

Tip for Facebook sellers. Maybe include your forum handle if you have feedback. I might then buy some of your stuff. Since I don't trust ebay either I will stick to buying on the forum.
