Little perspective , a loose minty Leia hoth just for 60+ on Ebay
Or a loose weequay for £43?

Classic shill bidding, I feel. Either that or the seller has found someone as gullible as he is rich:

In 2014 a complete primed Luke in Robes hardcopy and a complete bald emperor hardcopy sold for $25k each. Prices have rocketed (perhaps doubled) in the last couple of years so the prices alone don't surprise me too much.

However the Luke in robes is missing its head and a hand and only the arms are painted in primer. I suspect that means the parts were cobbled together from at least 2 different hardcopies. I think that significantly lowers its value.

Also that bold Emperor torso and head is a blue harvest piece and whilst they've become an accepted part of kenner history they are not genuine original and considerable lower in value. So are the hardcopy limbs really worth $30k on their own.

Just my opinion I guess but I think they're over priced based on the missing parts.

Both at least 2x market value.

Agree tho that those 'card fresh' loose figures on ebay are wacko. Could buy a MOC for pretty much the same price as every one that sold tonight.

Pretty sure it's more than just wacko. Check out whose been leaving feedback for the seller recently and the fact that they've been buying 2/3/4 of the identical same figures from him. Nothing suspicious whatsoever there

I agree prices are getting very silly. I had selected 29 auctions that ended sunday night that I would try to win some of on evilbay. To my big surprise
I did not win any of the first 27   I got outbid on all of them and if I had been bidding on them a year ago then I could have won some of them if not all of them. Then I had some extra money so I could bid a little more on the last 2 auctions and I won them for a good price to my big surprise

But I still think prices is going up and up at the moment on many vintage items :( Damn I miss the good old 00 where the prices was much better.

Yes prices are getting silly... more than silly actually, they're getting f*cking ridiculous! Here's an especially egregious example that combines my hatred of AFA grading, the scorn-worthy 'U grade', and an eye-watering asking price for a frankly easy to find figure:

Yours for just £845

Don't all rush to buy it at once!

I have noticed this ebay seller saber a long time ago and mentioned him on here before. Above others have mentioned the suspicous bidding and same people buying stuff consistantly. What i dont understand and would like to know is the seller actually achieving these sales prices then or not or is it something we wont know because there must be others bidding for prices to get so high. How can somebody get 43 pound for weequay it doesnt seem possible or are just some of his customers very rich and they will pay any amount of money for his stuff so he gets orhers to bid it up i have never seen anybody achieve prices this guy does consistantly. Does anyone know this guy personally or have bought of him before that uses the forum.

I too have noticed this ****er, something is definitely amiss, but then maybe its the way he describes them as "selling my hand picked card fresh" bullshit, sold a loose yakface for over 300 when the day before a ukg graded 85 went for less!
