Is three kids congrats or commiserations? I'm leaning strongly to the latter!

RE, Pool @lejackal, ehhhh. It sort of depends on your persepctive. They are a lot more controlled under Slot. Under Klopp they would have dropped more points but probably won more games by a bigger margin. Slot has fine tuned them. If that qualifies as over delivering then yeah. I would say it's a case of being much better at game management and not pushing on too much.

I watch bits of MOTD on a Sunday morning before everyone else is up. Most weeks I don't get to see it all. Zero chance I'm awake that late on a Sat night. Rock and roll!

Ohh and, yes, the Spurs Utd game was **** football, but given the club's form and league position, it wasn't surprising.

It's ridiculous how late MOTD is on a Saturday night. Not to mention the fact that most people have watched the goals on Twitter or YouTube at any point before 10:30pm. I try most weeks to stay up to watch it, either go to bed before or fall asleep during. Like you say @weasel rock and role.

Some reward for winning the CL group stage that!

I'd rather have Arsenal or Villa's draw.

No chance Arsenal get past either Madrid side. Real will be too street smart and Atleti will just kick you to death.
Still, it's a round further than Pool will get 🙄

And City to beat Pool on Sunday. Thy have been ***** all year but peak City will turn up this weekend.

Surely you can beat PSG?

I think this is Pool's rough patch. The players look tired. Slot hasn't rotated much this season. On the rare occasions he has, he has rotated an entire team and lost, to Plymouth and PSV.
The likes of Harvey Elliott, Endo and Chiesa have been woefully under used. Although the latter was utterly appalling against Plymouth.

I just have a horrible feeling the next few weeks are gonna pretty grim.

PSG have employed the novel tactic of actually playing like a team and expecting the forwards to do more than just stand there. Weirdly it has made them a much better side.
The Pool of Sept-Dec I would fancy to have too much for the, but I have a horrible feeling this team is running on empty.

I hope I'm wrong, and I hope Arsenal duff whatever Madrid side they play (assuming they do the 'usual Arsenal' and lose the first CL knock round they play)

Looks like the EL is set up for Jose, beat Rangers and he gets a potential quarter final against his old team Roma, beat them and he has a potential semi final against his old team Utd (who will lose to Sociedad, but anyway) and win that and he gets a potential final against his old side Spurs

Where is he now? Turkey?

My initial view of the two sides of the draw was that (a) I'd much prefer the other side, and (b) our teams seem almost destined to be thrust together at the end. Destiny is obviously somewhat far fetched, almost romantical, but there you go - we wouldn't all be enthralled if we didn't think our teams could do something special. Win the league, the cup, the promotion, the derby, survive the drop etc etc

In our office we have Liverpool fans, Man U, Man City, leeds and SW can image what its like when a game is coming up glad I don't follow FB

I hate Graham Potter
Weird, my opinion of him went up massively this weekend! Lol

Sorry to rub your nose in it, but I honestly think if Arsenal had won that game Pool would have lost at City. Suddenly then it's a 5pt gap and Arsenal have a game in hand. As it stands 11pts and a game in hand, Arsenal need a massive implosion from Liverpool. One that just hasn't looked likely all season. He says hoping he hasn't jinxed it

I mean PSV didn't offer much, but pre game I'd very much have taken 0-0 to get them back to the Emirates. 1-7 I wouldn't have dreamed of, not in a million years

I was amazed how they imploded. I THINK Arsenal might just be through now.

On the subject of thoroughly deserved wins, Liverpool definitely deserved that last night. Totally the better side!

I actually asked with 5 minutes to go if it was possible to have a negative XG, that's how **** Liverpool were/how much PSG played them off the park.

Utter utter daylight robbery.

If Hojlund wasnt an utter donkey……

Ps, WHAT IN THE NAME OF GOOD **** was Raya doing for Utd's goal? I was shouting at him to take 2 steps to his left. I think Stephen Hawking could have scored from there Raya left such a gap.

No idea. I'd almost given up a week or two ago, but a small part of me after our goal rush in the week and Southampton taking the lead yesterday was a bit like "well if they lose this and we do that". Today I'll fully accept 2nd and a steady run in.

Could be another twist yet but I doubt it very much, no one can argue that Liverpool deserves it. They've been the best team by far, only lost once in the league. Only twice all season!

Bournemouth were robbed yesterday, the first 60 minutes was possibly the worst I have ever seen Spurs play, it was mistake after mistake and just zero commitment, jogging around the pitch. The downside of having your best players return after 3+ months is… they haven't played for three months! But if fit I guess he had to start them. Second half was a bit more promising but still incredibly lucky to end up with a point. As long as we don't get relegated ill be happy!

Spurs are so similar to Man Utd, you won't get relegated, even if Utd and Spurs didn't win another game Ipswich and Leicester aren't getting enough points.

Four times, Forest in PL, Plymouth in the FAC, Spuds in the LC semi 1st leg and in a dead rubber away to PSV. Two of those were with very much second string teams, but four defeats. Still a great season so far. Until they lose to PSG on Tues night.

Agreed, the bottom three are massive odds on to go down. Only Wolves are in any danger of joining them

Man U confirm push for Audi Cup

He's a prick we're not protesting about the league position we're protesting about the club being in £1 billion worth of debt with no plan of ever paying the capital. He goes on about the 450 redundancies being necessary but never mentioned the £38 million paid on the interest last year.

The Glazers are worth £10 billion but they're the only owners in the PL that take money out for none football payments.

First question should have been you facilitated the Glazers staying as majority share holders without going bankrupt do you regret that, seen as the other option they had was a full sale with all debt gone on day 1? I'm tired of the lip service from these self entitled arrogant pricks.

Sigh…..ahhh ****!

Over two legs PSG deserved to go through, no arguments but there is very little between the two sides. I'd love to know what would happen in a game at a neutral venue.
That's some team PSG have built and it is actually a proper team, not eight blokes whose sole purpose is to cover for and feed three lazy super star forwards. Amazing that that idea works better, who would have thought.

That may well be TAA's last game for Pool too. It looked like ankle ligaments that could be 2 months ish out. It would be a sad way for it to end. But running your contract down before ******* off to join the most hateful club in the world is pretty low down in my estimations too.

I suspect Pool have a big turn over of players coming up this summer, along with a few other Manchester and Laaadan based clubs. A new LB and a new/back up RB will be needed. Along with a CB, if VVD goes, arguable even if he stays too. A striker to replace Salah, if he goes, and a replacement for Nunez who seems to be off. Then throw in the likes of Endo and Kelleher. A busy summer ahead. Still Richard whatshisface Pool's Dir of football should have spent plenty of time on that already cos he clearly hasn't been doing anything about 3 contracts that are up.

Good luck to Villa against that PSG side, I suspect they'll need it. Although in Emery they have a superb cup manager, and I mean that as a compliment.

Arsenal to sneak through tonight? Could be close!
