Premier League 2012/13 Discussion Thread

Was it a good game, i just saw stoppage time.[/quote]

The worst CL game I have seen for years!

Bayern Munich were very complacment and didnt anything all game really. Perhaps one clever flick from Muller which set Robben through on goal who forced a half decent save from Fabianski but that was IT!

Munich for there for the taking but once again it was famillar failings from arse. Rosicky/Ramsey cant pass for their lives then Wenger takes Walcott off! WTF

The refree very poor again. Didnt let the game flow at all. a shrill beep of his whistle came every few minutes or so!

Oh and there was a VERY similar challenge to the nani/ arbeloa incident between rosicky and dante i think :? Bearing in mind rosicky had already been booked the ref just decided to book Dante

Consistent my arse!

I missed nothing then! lol

No English sides in 1/4 finals for first time in 17 years. Staggering statistic that.

Utd can claim to have been unlucky with both the decision to send Nani off, and probably the fact they drew Real in the first place. Arse could have had a much better draw as well, but I have less sympathy for them cos Wenger yet again passed up the chance to win the group and get the (theoretically) easier draw.
City and Chelsea should be ashamed. Chelsea in particular. Not an 'easy group' as such but far far from insurmountable. As for City............ How does Mancini still have a job?

Dwight York and Andrew Cole are showing themselves to be 2 of the biggest morons to ever be invited into the studio to do the half-time talk.
Just want to clear a few things up they are getting very wrong.
1. Was it a hand-ball? - YES
2. Was it intentional? - Yes, but doesn't matter. That is not the only element in the decision of penalising a hand-ball. If your arms are in an unnatural, unnecessary or in the kind of position that it could be said the ball would be likely to hit them when in that position then it is still a hand-ball. But just fyi; the keeper ran out of the box with his hand intentionally placed between him and the ball. He may have not 100% hoped it would hit his hand but when your arms a placed in a position that is likely to and then does impede the ball's progress then it counts as "intentional".
3. Should the keeper have been sent off given that this WAS an illegal hand-ball. YES. 100%.

It's one of the most cut and dry sending offs i've ever seen yet they still manage to find people stupid enough. These idiots are really getting on my nerves.

I know it's a cliche but Arsenal do know what it takes to get over the line. The problem for Spurs is no CL = no Bale

I agree with the first. I still think it's gonna be close but i wouldn't put a penny on Spurs finishing in the top 4 now.

What a goal. Stand up and clap Everton. Roberts, you're lucky to be in a job.

Couldnt agree more. I think that performance by Everton was the best all round team performance I have ever witnessed in the PL Exceptional 8)

Absolutely massive win for Villa although wigans win today has made it interesting. :?

Reading and QPR are doomed IMO too now. Its a race between Wigan Villa, Saints Sunderland Norwich and Westham IMO although if wigan win their game in hand on Villa then that could make it very interesting indeed :D

What are Sunderland thinking of? Di Canio is an unknown, borderline insane, and if they go down who would you have more confidence in to bring you back up? Big, brave and possibly stupid gamble.

DiCanio is a ****ing imbecile. Firing O'Niel and replacing him with Paolo DiCanio may be the worst decision in the history of football.
