It's a big call but o'neil was taking them down. They have a team of squad players. Not many other PL clubs would be after many of their players and that is an inditement of O'neil. Granted a good few were steve bruce's signings but Martin had been there long enough to sort it out now.

They were on a terrible run and dont have a nice run in. I can see why they did it. As for Di Canio, who else would they get at this stage in the season?

I would like to thank Sunderland Football Club for the best April's Fool in years. I never believed for a moment they would fire a well respected, knowledgable and experienced manager and put Benito Di Canio in his place. Haven't laughed so much since an ill advised evening rather other-indulging in the old 'Funky fungus', which can be the only explaination for how much the Sunderland powers that be must be tripping thier tiny nuts off.
I am convinced this is all a hoax, but fair play, it has made me chuckle all day!

It's pretty embarrassing but surely its proof that the semi finals should be held at Premier League stadiums such as Villa Park and Old Trafford.

Firstly, yes, as has been pointed out over and over again (and i've only ever heard it defended by staunch, blinkered Liverpool fans), Suarez is complete scum. Very talented but scum through and through. He was trying to cheat when he gave away the pen 2 which almost cost them a game in which they were the better team.

And on your 2nd point. Haha! :lol:
