I may upset a few Manc fans here but I think Nani deserved to be sent off there - my first thought was that i was very very harsh - but on the replay you can see him actually push his foot into the guys chest

Shame as it has ruined a good game - but Ferguson's post match interview will be fun

I don't like Man U as much as the next guy - with the possible exception of theslider  BUT he never took his eye off the ball. Not once. Therefore I think it is very harsh and if it was my team I'd be very pissed about it. Yellow would have been deserved.

I'm ****ing loving these cunts going out like this the arrogant pricks.

 I wont be taking any further part in this thread then :?:[/quote]

A bit harsh as this is after all a SW forum, but it's football banter and we all know many people with strong view like this Liam so come back tomorrow after the disappointment has settled.

The decision was harsh, a yellow was sufficient. Shame it marred an otherwise excellent and fascinating CL tie, the two games (up till the sending off) were great viewing. United have often got thier tactics wrong, or simply been outplayed against the best in Europe, not so this time. Even Mourinho was unusually contrite after the game. Bitterly disappointing but regaining the league was always top priority.

I hate Man U, but the likelyhood is, I only hate them because they are so much better than Arsenal!. To that end, I suppose I hate Ipswich as well...............................................maybe not

You can't however deny that last night they played ****ing well, even with 10 men they fought really hard. Gigg's, although he's a prick, was brilliant!

Good effort United......................come on the guns!!

I don't think it was even worthy of a yellow, to be honest (and I'm a Blue!). Nani had his eye on the ball (yes, he glanced at Arbeloa but only for a fraction of a second) and was quite clearly lifting his leg up to bring the ball down. Arbeloa just collided with him. An unfortunate accident, nothing more.

Although, I am finding it hard to muster any sympathy for Nani after Kompany's sending off in the FA Cup last year!

I agree it was a harsh decision and the referee Imo got it wrong, as did keano afterwards. If the rules state dangerous play regardless of intent then what about when players attempt spectacular overhead kicks that end up catching someone else's head in the process? I think crouch did something like this not so long ago. Fair enough nani caught the player who then made a meal out of the contact but nani had his eyes on the ball. As a neutral it just ruined the game. But ****ing Rio clapping in the ref's face was a disgrace, what a tool! He annoys the **** out of me

Once again a great game of football has been ruined by a sub standard referee.A shame for Manu fans and neutrals too.

Cakir has sent off seven players from English teams, but never one against them.

Says it all really.

As for Keano,he can go f**k himself,twat.

Agreed, that turned my stomach. What made it more embarrassing was that immediately afterwards he clearly realised he'd made a gaff, and so made a spectacular U-turn by going back to the ref to shake his hand and act all friendly!

He tries to make out that he is this upstanding role model with a good reputation when really he is just a typical footballing thug with no brain cells and an oversized ego because he earns **** loads of money. He can go merc off!!!!

Is this an open confession to having a flame for Rio?

Only if he grew tits, wore a blonde wig and sorted his mouth out

Right so he just needs to take hormone tablets, buy a blonde wig and keep his mouth shut and you'd....... I don't even want to go there :?

Sadly I can't source a pic of Rio in blonde wig :(

But this pic always cracks me up

How the **** are Wigan going to end the day in the bottom 3 with a first half performance like that
Neville is ****ing liability at the moment.

Think, like his brother, he has probably played an extra season too much - he'll retire at the end of the season

Been a good pro though

Great display from Wigan - be interesting if Everton get a early goal in the 2nd half

Think the chimp will score today and the press will cream themselves claiming he's as good as Messi. Think spurs will win - a load of Yorkshire spurs fans on the train here thinking the same.

Think the rent boys will feel whisky nose's backlash (ooer). 4 - 1 to the scum.

As for Blackburn Millwall, would like the dense Lancashire berks to beat the cockney racists!

Get yer bets on!
