Throught I would start a thread devoted to all things footy :)

Well I thought we were simply beaten by the better team tonight. They wanted it more and were more sharp and as for Fellani - UNTOUCHABLE Quality Player 8)

RVP hardly touch the Ball but I thought Kagawa looked a really player :)

I've been seeing for a couple of years at work Fellaini was top class, after last night everyone seems to be telling me the same! Shades of Duncan Ferguson in his prime last night when defenders wouldn't even bother to try ad challenge him in the air. He's a monster!

Have to say I hope Utd have a good season, don't want to see the lottery winners claim back to back titles, but last night was a bit special, Goodison was rocking, on nights like that few grounds match it for atmosphere. 8)

Cracking game last night Everton were really up for it. Kagawa was very good but Scholes was way off the pace. Did he play the full 90? Love Everton's philosophy no superstars. Hibbert had a good game too.

1st game down and City and Chelski start with maximum points :(

I thoight Osman was good last night as well - surprised he has never made an England squad - especially when you look at players like Barton & Bullard that have

Bet that name is a sore point for your lot Iain? Was it Jewell that signed him? Cannot believe he has lasted this long.

Have a lot of time for Ipswich... best ever game I had on football manager was with Ipswich :D Signed Neymar when he was unknown and won the Premiership and Champions League about 5 years in a row

My love for Jimmy Bullard has gone - he was quality for us on loan but last season was naff

Ozzy has all the technical attributes, he's just too small light and one paced, otherwise I'd have expected him to have had a few caps. Great team player for us though down the years, very underated player.

NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ABU!

I have to agree though Everton deserved it, they just wanted it more. United passed it about well but no penetration. In parts the game reminded me of Arsenal at their worst, or Chelsea's flat back 10 against Barca.

RVP is a quality player and a great addition to any team, but I can help thinking that money could have been better spent on a Central/holding midfielder. There was a huge gap in the middle of Utd's midifeld last night. Granted four busted centre backs didn't help, but I wouldn't say Carrick is or was the answer. This lack of a CM is not a new thing either.
Also, Valencia at RB when Fabio/Raphael (I cant tell them apart) is on the bench?
I know Valencia has played RB before and he's not bad at it, but when you have a RB on the bench and already have a midfielder playing CB, playing another non defender at the back seems like asking for troubne!

Good to see Fergy has finally realised that Evra has been regressing at a rate of knots and has signed a new LB.

If 2stripes is an Everton fan it's a given that he wants Yanited to have a good season!

Blimey!, Did anyone see the big gash at old trafford?.........................Rooney, I think his name is.

Went the Villa yesterday. **** me, I am **** scared.

I welcomed Lambert with some sort of trepidation but what I saw was a Villa side that were utterly clueless!

It's obvious that Darren Bent doesn't want to play for us and N'Zogbia??? ****, he was awful. Absolutely awful

Sad to hear. I quite like Villa as a club. Hopefully it will just take a few weeks for Lambert to get his message through to the players.

All their problems stem from appointing McLeish last season.

Only two games gone and already 4 points dropped by the Arsenal. Why would players rather sign for other teams like Liverpool and Everton? Because Arsenal are gutless bastards and have been going backwards for years.
The end!

I know what you mean Weas... but a part of me thinks we wouldn't have lost like that under Mcleish  AND I HATED Mcleish!

Lambert definitely needs a full season and even more in my opinion and i'll admit that we did pass the ball around well for some periods but if we go down then so be it!

Got to give it to Everton though... they were very impressive and I'd tip them for a top 6 finish as long as Fellaini stays fit - he was immense!

Arsenal have been going backwards for years?
Have you seen Liverpool recently? Compare them to the team of 07-08

Fair point weaz, but at least they're brave enough to spend some money.

Andy Carroll £35 million
Stuart Downing £20 million
Jordan Henderson £17 million
Charlie Adam £9 million
Alberto Aquilani £19 million
That's a nice round £100 millions worth of "talent" right there!

You say spend.........I saw waste!
