PL predictions thread 2015-16

Think Sam did a good job- what I hoped he'd do, but it was most definitely time for a change. We would've almost certainly lost against Liverpool had he been in charge. In games like that, he would go totally negative and the players would've been beaten before kickoff. Billic may take some bedding in, but his approach yesterday was superb. Before the game he said 'there's no reason why we can't change history'. Much more positive than Sam. The whole 'what is the West Ham Way?' thing with Sam really bugged me too. He just didn't get it at all.

Smug mode!

My city prdiction is looking good so far. I also got Utd getting a cushy CL group spot on as well.

The only thing I would say with big Sam is that he gave West Ham stability and we will have to wait and see if they still have that with Billic. I mean will he still be in charge in 3 or 4 seasons time?

Agreed- he sorted out a lot of mess and definitely gave us stability. Let's hope Super Slav can take us to the next level- some promising signs already. Knowing us, we'll get relegated

I think it's sad they've got rid of Brendon Rodgers Ancelotti will probably come in and win the league for them now.

Looks like Klopp is the favourite. I'd rather have Ancellotti myself as I think he's more likely to sort the mess out. There's a lot needs fixed both on-field and off-field at Liverpool. Someone like Ancellotti will know how a proper club should be run, I worry that Klopp will just go with the flow. Rumour is he's happy enough to work with Liverpool's transfer committee. And we all know how successful that has been.

That all assumes, Ancellotti and Klopp are daft enough to wanna manage Liverpool! I have half a notion Liverpool sacked Rodgers cos they heard Advocaat had left Sunderland they worried Sunderland would poach Fat sam!

I agree Ancellotti over Klopp any day. I think it's a to bigger task for Klopp, Ancellotti has won the Premeirship at Chelsea, managed Real Madrid to a European Cup. It's not evan close for me.

Sounds like Klopp is FSG's preferred choice cos he has worked at a club where he basically built the team up with young promising players all whilst knowing he would have to sell a few each year. That pretty much sums up what Liverpool are now. I just worry that while the logic in appointing him for those reasons is right, Ancellotti is still the better choice cos he could, given time, money and a miracle, actually turn the club into realistic top four material every season. Rather than the deluded "we can make the CL" guff we have atm.

Realistically, Liverpool are the 5th or 6th best side in the PL. Both managers could get them into the CL, especially given the topsy turvy nature of this season and how **** Chelsea are. I just think as a long term bet to sort the club out, Ancelotti is better. I also worry that Klopp's last season at Dortmund was pretty poor. He had two good years then it went down hill pretty quickly. Brendan had one good year (you can give all the crdit to Suarez and Sturridge if you want, but Liverpool had one good year under Brendan regardless) then it went down hill quickly. Are Liverpool replacing one flash in the pan with another?

If you're asking who would play more attacking/good to watch football, it's Klopp all day long.
If you're asking who would be most likely to win you a league, i think it's Ancelotti.

I see the metro have thrown Roberto Di Matteo's name into the ring. Best laugh i've had in years. Fluked a CL with what was (and still is) Jose's Chelsea side, while finishing 5th i think. Then got fired cos, well, he was ****. He also flopped at WBA. Totally who Liverpool would be looking at. Full makrs for effort but that just smacks of "who's out of a job? He must be a candidate."

Alan Pardew came out this week and said he needs to manage a top side one day - does he know something we don't
