Looks like Arsenal and Utd were the only teams to take it seriously this weekend.

with 10 changes to the Arsenal side it could have been a different story if Southampton had taken it seriously.

Yeah I just saw that on BBC News, didn't realise they made so many changes. I just saw that Walcott scored most of the goals so assumed it must have been a reasonably strong side. Good on them, pisses me off how many other teams are treating it like a joke.

To his credit Wenger may play reserve teams in the cup but can never be accused of not taking it seriously. He's won half of Arsenal's total FA cup wins, an impressive feat.

Southampton were useless, and with relegation not on the cards could easily have played the team that beat Liverpool in the League Cup side and made a game of it. They have a fantastic record against Arsenal too, but I'm not complaining.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Wolves name in the hat for the 5th round

I should have put money on it.

Pool were piss poor. That was a side struggling to stay in the championship. Yes Klopp made a lot of changes but that's no excuse. 80% possession and yet Wolves had four or five glorious chances to score while Pool sneaked one and almost scrambled another. Other than that it was sideways, sideways, backwards, until someone got bored and twatted one into the crowd from 35 yards. I could have done nets for Wolves and they would still have won.
Granted their goal was from a free kick taken 10 yards in front of where the foul was committed, but WTF was Karius doing? The guy heads it in from two yards inside the six yard box! Catch the ****ing thing you muppet.

I saw a bit of the Arsenal game, missed the rest of the footy, and Saints did look like a classic case of 'after the lord mayor's show.' I suspect they celebrated making the Worthless cup final a bit too much, or at least were distracted by it. I guess that's fair enough given they don't make many cup finals. It did effectively give Arsenal a bye, but you would still have expected them to win anyway.

Ohh and when we were talking about the lack of magic in the FAC and I mentioned how Utd's games are always televised.....

That is utterly pathetic. NO club should be shown that much. I don't blame Utd at all, but the fact still stands that is a disgraceful indictment of TV.

56 times in a row! I agree that's ridiculous. Oh and you can never watch a football match live on TV at 3pm on a Saturday.

And Arsenal draw Sutton, of course  It's actually annoying to see no PL match ups at all. Unless Leicester blow their replay it looks a dead cert to be PL only quarter finals.

Yeah, I heard the two non league sides were both mad keen to get a "big" PL side. I kinda had mixed feelings about that. The odds on them beating a big PL side are astronomically low, so they are effectively wanting to be put out, but I guess as part timers this is the only chance they will get to play one of these sides. I suppose financially as well, a game at Old Trafford or the likes will bring them enough money to keep the club going for a year or two. The auld romantic in me would rather see them draw one of the weaker sides and have a chance of progressing further, but it all boils down to money now.

I agree it could well be an all PL quarter final. Imagine the excitemennnnnnnnnnnzzzzzzzzzzz!
Though, I do fancy Derby to give Leicester a dam good game. CL is starting soon and Leicester are in stinking form and far from safe from relegation. I could see a lot of changes for Leicester and Derby winning.

Sutton do have an ex Arsenal midfielder that played Champions League a few years back so he might actually try and prove a point, plus it's a 3g surface and if we turn up expecting to just roll over them a draw would not surprise me. And if we lose at least it will mean something to the guys beating us.

Well tonights results were a bag of **** all round for the top four, I guess it closes the gap for everyone though. More interesting is what it means for the bottom of the table, Leicester actually look like they might go down!

One more point adrift instead of two points closer, looks like the typical Arsenal February has started a day early

Amazed at both Spuds and Arsenal results. I haven't seen any of the games, but I had both of those down a near certain 'bankers' for 3pts.
Good news for Liverpool, given the point they got, and better news for the Manchester sides if they manage to win.

I thought 1-1 in Pool Chelsea game was a fair enough result. Neither side did enough to win, and whilst Chelsea missed a pen Firminio missed two glorious chances for Pool, who also dominated possession.

If (or should I say "when"?) Chelsea beat Arsenal at the w/e you can put the blue ribbons on the PL trophy and tell John Terry to get his tracksuit off ready to crowbar himself into the middle of the celebrations. Again.

Well February looks like it's BAU for us, buy 7th March we'll be lucky to still have the FA cup left to play for

Phew, I thought Borough were going to snatch a point there in the last few minutes which would have been criminal as I don't think they had a single shot on target all game. Typical Spurs though, monster possession and little to show for it.

Yes Spurs hanging in there! Chelsea look pretty convincing again, hopefully Spurs will keep it slightly interesting though. :?

I think it's still far too early to say it's wrapped up with 14 games left, that's 42 points each at stake! The bottom of the table is looking especially interesting

The relegation battle looks like it's going to be fantastic. Swansea, Sunderland and Hull have all given themselves a massive chance of survival after looking dead and buried at the turn of the year. Two points separating the bottom 6- incredible! Saints and Bournemouth have a cushion, but will be looking over their shoulders with their alarming drop in form.

I agree it's to early to say Chelsea have it wrapped up and the relegation battle will be good, 5 points between 20th and 15th I think. :?

Only thing about the title race is as much as I would like to see Spurs catch Chelsea I can't see it happening. As said though 14 games to go a lot can happen, don't think Spurs can let the gap get any bigger though.

I think Palace are going down, big Sam is gonna loose is record.
