Good luck against Dortmund.

Yeah. Every chance!
I think most Pool fans wanted ANYONE but Dortmund. They look a class act. Still FA to lose.

I actually think you will give them a game, more so than Spurs did. Put it this I can't see you loosing 3-0 in Germany.

So it's the bank holiday weekend and what better way to spend it then with the family, egg hunts, stuffing face with chocolate eggs and then on Monday..... Back to one of the homes of real football with real proper fans , the Boylen ground. Mark noble s testimonial sold out and will have appearances from many stars who have previously graced the pitch . It will be emotional for me as its the last time I'll be able to get down but I just wanted to ask a question to all of u that comment on this thread. Who do u think will be at your club for 10 years or more or should I say a one club man ? I can't see this happening much more after noble and perhaps Tompkins . JT I think has one or had one but the way footy is now no one will last at a club for more then 5/6 seasons before being shipped out
Any way I'll be forever blowing bubbles Monday ( and a couple of beers no doubt ) with me bruva. And hope u all have a good Easter too

Yeah, testimonials will definitely become rarer and rarer.
Bar the odd player who comes through at the 'big' clubs, thus avoiding being pinched, and sticks around, odds are players will do well to last more than 5/6 years at one club.

I'll be there too! Looks like the last time for me as well and the first time for my two sons. They've been begging to go all season, but haven't been able to get tickets. Perfect first game for them 8) They still don't know they're going. Where are you sat? We're in the East Stand. Gonna drive as the tubes/trains aren't running  Must remember to set BT to record it as well (on BT Euro).

Can't believe Woy has just said that Nobes is 'This year's Grant Holt'... utter, utter bellend

Tubes & trains aren't running? **** I booked a train ticket 3 weeks back and it was ok then ( think a silly change somewhere as per usual )
Bobby Moore lower. It's the place I used to sit in b4 I moved away . I've wanted to sit there again this season but ended up else where and never had the chance so fitting I'll be able to say good bye there where it all began for me
Well pleased ur managing to take the boys too ! Ur have a great day out and there ll be able to say they went there and saw di canio play too !!! I took my son for he's first visit at start of season and managed to luck in and get to meet all the players and manager and mr Gold too . Even let George (4 yrs ) turn on the Bubble machine ..., I cried ! What a club and what a stadium with proper proper fans
Any way have a good one and I may see yeh. I'll be the gobby essex boy wearing Di canio shirt singing he's head off loud and proud..... Actually that's most Whu fans ! Lol

That's brilliant mate- how the hell did you manage to do all that?! 8) My boys would love to meet the players. Shame Dimi won't be playing, but at least we'll get to see the mighty PDC.

Nice you've got tickets in the BML 8)

Read so much about how we were going to get whalopped last night and this was the weakest team on paper ever. Now, it was only a friendly and it's right to not get carried away but thank **** he did something different. Our 'golden' generation of individually brilliant primadonas won **** all consistently. Players who whether they meant to or not cared about about their clubs. Last night we had players who wanted to play for their country. For pride.

Bye bye Rooney. Take Walcott with you too, what on earth is he doing there?

Just re-watched the England game again (last night's attempt was hampered by having a family! )

Great to see this bunch actually playing together as a team, knowing that this is their chance to make a difference and actually wanting to win for England. Not since France '98 have I had any faith in the England team, but this group are at least starting to look like like they could do something. Early days, one game, a friendly, BUT against the current World Champions and a team we were expected to get thrashed by... there is hope!
Particularly impressed with Dier (not just for goal actually) and of course both Kane and Vardy; for the manner they made/took their chances.

Most impressive of all was the fight in the side to come back and win from 2-0 down!

As Richard said, lets hope we no longer are forced to suffer with the likes of Rooney and Walcott. They have had a thousand chances and failed (and subsequently sulked) at every turn.

Keep moving forward Woy!

Only saw half of the game, but England looked good. A few soft goals conceded but then Butland was injured for the first one, so benefit of the doubt.
Don't get carried away though, it's ONLY a friendly! There are still half a dozen sides better than you in it (obviously that includes Norn Ion  ). Sadly your medi and ex-england players/pundits will now start spouting about how wonderful you are and how you're one of the favourites blah blah blah.
You're not. Quarter finals would be a good solid performance, after that it's a lottery but I don't see you making the semis. Although a kind draw...

Give Uncle Woy a few months and he'll suck the joy out of those young players. Ohh and we all know Rooney will not only be there, but most probably starting, as captain, and ****ing everything up for you.
I agree he should be nowhere near the team, but he will be picked, he plays for Utd and has experience (of doing nothing in major tournaments) so he'll be a shoe in. I've been slagging him for a few years now, but this year he has been one of Utd's worst players. Clearly ideally suited to lead you into a major tournament.

Good to see young players like rose, diet, butland, dier, kane and sorta Vardy getting a run out and doing well.
Danny Wellbeck still looks shite though.

Here we go again, England will do well to get out of the group at Euros and if Rooney gets in the starting 11 I'm not watching it.

Roy needs the balls and backing to tell all the has-beens (or in some cases never-beens) to do one. This year's premier league season has proved that a bunch of random 'stars' are no match for a hard working team. I've often said that any Championship side with enough English players would do better in a major tournament than any England team from the last decade. And that's basically what last night's England squad was - a group of young players that were mostly playing in the lower divisions a couple of seasons ago.

Plus it makes me very happy to see a decent England side consisting of 40% Spurs players :)

It's a joke this Rooney situation, he's not played for 6 weeks. Kane, Vardy, Sturridge and evan Danny Missbeck should get in the side before him.

He must have some good naked pictures of someone high up. He should show some self respect for him and the younger players coming through and give them a chance by retiring from England, you no a player is finished when they start getting linked with moves to China. I wander if anyone would be talking about Rashford if Rooney hadn't got injured.

The fact a lot of people are talking about Wilshire going makes me laugh. Yes, he is a quality player.....when fit! But he makes Daniel Sturridge look like he's made of stone.

Jack Wilshire's PL season so far this year,

Goals scored, None.
Assists, None.
Ehhh minutes played, None.

Get that man a plane ticket now, he's earned it!

Right.. enough of the silly international nonsence, bring on a weekend of Premier League footie.
Seems a lifetime since Spurs have played on a Saturday, can they close the gap and add some pressure to Leicester :?:

Yep this is where it gets serious mate! I know Spurs are in with a shout, but I'd still be very happy to see Leicester win it. My main desire is for Spurs to finish above Arsenal for the first time in the PL, they've deserved to a few times before and blown it late on, so hopefully this is our year. But they need to beat Liverpool and Utd.
