PL 2015-16 Chat

Praying for a win this weekend against Sunderland....if we do it pretty much makes PL survival between us and them as Newcastle couldn't catch up.

What was Vardy doing today? That was a blatant dive if ever I've seen one. Absolute madness, if West Ham had won and they lost the next game he's suspended for, he could have single handedly ruined their title chances. I thought the fans were out of order abusing the ref all game, that dive was clear as day.

Speaking of classy fans, I see Arsenal are still booing Adebayor now he's at Palace. Aren't you supposed to applaud ex-players that scored lots of goals for you? Pathetic.

Was a blatant dive and good that the ref was brave enough to deal with it appropriately. Thought our pen was right as well- he had warned Huth and Morgan to stop all the grabbing etc, then Morgan does it again right in front of him. Could've been more pens either way- Huth arguably should've got one when he was strangled by Ogbonna, although in the ref's defence that was the first incident like that in our box, whereas there had been several up the other end. The pen at the end was an utter joke - clearly trying to even things up.

Shame the ref is once again star of the show, when Cresswell's cracker (which should've been the winner) should be what people are talking about. Would've taken 2 - 2 before the game, but pretty gutted now.

On another note, hope that's the last time we see Valencia in a Hammers shirt...

Should've won for sure - 19 shots to their 6, hit the post 3 times (Kouyate's header in the first couple of minutes hit the inside of one post before bouncing across and hitting the inside of the other post!).

Spurs have to win tomorrow for sure and as I said last week if they are still alive going into the last 3 games they have a great chance. Stoke is a tuff game though.

Ref was all over the shop in the West Ham game.. Though both teams were all over each other with arms and legs in places that shouldn't be seen on a football pitch which was a real shame... i'm so bored of the litte cheats at every set piece, if you want to cuddle another guy, play rugby, don't dirty up a football pitch with this nonsense!

Leicester really did have a lucky day in the end, although Carrol was a bit daft to give the pen away so easily; there was a defender right in front of him, he knew that the Ref was on edge should have stepped off.

All that said, I think this was actually the hardest game Leicester had left, West Ham are on a gret run of form and generally playing good football, if anyone was/is going to take points away its them. HOWEVER.. Jamie Vardy's petulant and cheating antics have now thrown a spanner in the works. One game ban straightaway, but could be extended to a second if the ref reoprts his overtly agressive, pointy shouty bloke routine...who does he think he is? Robbie Keane?

So, on to Spurs and what I see as possibly their biggest challenge.. away at Stoke on a Monday night is a game that no team banks points on, no matter how Stoke are doing... They're not doing great, but they still cling to a mathematical top six possible finish from 9th with only a six point gap above them.. its just as unlikely as Spurs finishing top afterall, so never say never. Its a horrible place to visit, always cold, always windy and they play a very 'hands on' game. It'll be interesting to see how strong Spurs are.

Just more four to go after that...

Yeah as good a player he is, he seems like a right little weasel.

That penalty Leicester got was a joke. If you're going to give decisions like that then every game will end up 9-9.
I feel sorry for WH, I only got round to watching the highlights of their game against Arsenal yesterday. Robbed.com
Both their disallowed goals were perfectly fine and they should have had a penalty as well. To say they aren't getting the rub of the green, with regards to decisions, is an understatement.

Agreed on Vardy. There was contact, not a lot, but also not enough for him to go down like he did. It looked like a fat kid jumping off a diving board. I haven't seen his first yellow, but if you've already had one for diving to do something like that is asking for trouble,

Spuds will beat Stoke tonight. Stoke are on the beach already. It's not even that hard a place to go, the reputation isn't quite justified. With half their defence injured on just coming back from injury, I expect Spurs to win by a few.

Must just be me.. I hated away days at that ground!

Well I think the last two games prove just how much luck is needed to win a title. Spurs should have scored three in the first half, and ended up with a draw. If that had happened to Leicester instead on Sunday, it would be a very different story today. I think Leicester had it wrapped up before last nights game anyway, but the Spurs result sealed the deal.

My main concern is both Arsenal and City can catch up. And wouldn't it just be their luck for Liverpool to win the Europa League and lose their 4th spot CL place AGAIN

Yeah I think Leicester have got it now, you win the league over 38 games, but sometimes hitting a post can be the difference. Think your right in saying Leicester had it wrapped up before last night. I just hope they don't win it at Old Trafford on Sunday. Can't see Arsenal catching Spurs, they have to go to Man City yet. Man Utd got a better chance of catching Arsenal.

Agreed Spuds should have that wrapped up in the first half. A draw was daylight robbery. The width of a post cost Spurs on three (?) occasions. Fine margins.

On another note, how bad a job is Tony Pulis doing at WBA? I thought he was a great appointment, but he's taken a side that were a fairly solid PL outfit, granted they were lower mid table, but still a solid PL side, with little real risk of relegation, and he's turned them into a horrible side that sets out to battle for every point as if they were in a relegation battle. Four centre backs and two holding midfielders. Assuming you even class Claudio Yakob as a footballer. The brand of football they play is awful and trying to get the players to switch from the ultra defensive to any sort of normal style of play is going to be bloody tough. Pulis has turned that club into perpetual relegation fodder.

Funny, I was hoping they did! It'd be interesting to see how the Utd fans take to someone else lifting the title at OT.

Don't think they will get the trophie on Sunday if they did win it then, I'm sure if they do win the league on Sunday most Man Utd supporters will congratulate them. :?

I'm hoping they get the trophie last game of the season at Stamford Bridge.

Who would have thought it though Leicester City champions of England.
