PL 2015-16 Chat

I really think Chelsea will struggle for top 4, although 14 points behind Leicster, would you put money on them finishing below Leicster? I've riten them off already but it's silly to before Christmas really.

Honestly it's not the best league technically, but for excitement and predictability it's hard to beat.

Monday night football is a good watch Crystal Palave v 11 goalkeepers.

Yeah, they are miles off the pace, but as I think Edd was implying, if you look at their squad and manager there's no way they should be in and around the drop zone. That is a CL club all day long. They'll sort their **** out eventually. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few signings in the xmas window, something more effective than Cuadrado was.
Once they get going they'll climb the table quickly enough. I could see them finishing anywhere from fourth (the league is very open/poor this year) to 7th/8th.

Though I'm hoping they stay in the relegation dog fight, some great karma watching Jose suffering.

I haven't really lurked around this part of the forum before but as probably one of the only Foxes on here thought I'd enjoy the banter.
Sustainable?
Best form in the league since 4th April

   Who know's if it's sustainable, but I doubt. Once your up their everyone will raise their game when they play you. The league is so tight in the top half a bad run and you could be out of a european place in no time.

Leicester's next six games (in PL) Man u (H), Swansea (A), Chelsea (H), Everton (A), Liverpool (A), Man City (H)

Ok, Swansea are dung, Chelsea ain't in great nick, Everton are beatable, Liverpool are inconsistent, Utd will bore the tits off anyone and City have habit of losing 'big' games 4-1, but I'd still say that's a horrible run. Three of the top four from last year, plus two trips to Merseyside. Under normal circumstances you'd say 7-9 pts was a very good return there. That won't keep Leicester at the top.

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying having someone different leading the table, but I just think they will fall away. Especially as Jamie Vardy's form can't continue in that vein.

i think its great Leicester are top, shows you dont need all these overpaid arseholes to work hard.

and wit liverpool beating chavski and mank shitty i can see them getting top 4 and a cup this year

Leicester remind me of the Ipswich side of 2000/01 - that year we finished 5th and could have easily made the top four but for one or two results. In place of Vardy we had Marcus Stewart and we were just a good, well organised side that kept winning games we weren't supposed to

I think the current state of the Prem is down to lack of class in the top teams - look how most are performing in Europe - it is highly unlikely that any will get close to the semi's, let alone the final. However, as I said earlier in the thread - it makes for better competition and I am happy to see the likes of Leicester, West Ham, C Palace, Soton and Spurs up there

when you look at aplyers like sterling, rooney ect who are on 1million pounds a MONTH its pathetic, players dont put their heart and soul into it anymore, they dont need to.

i hope Leicester win the league

Rooney is on £300K a week! Yet he looks no better than a lower mid table plodder.
"world class" my arse!

boring weekend of results, no change at the top really. Several clubs blew their chance of climbing higher. 2 more injuries at Arsenal, maybe this will be the season they don't fluke top 4 and Wenger realises your entire "A Team" squad can't consist of 11 players.

We'll spend big in January, maybe 5 or 6 whole pounds!

I think there is only one person who thinks Arsenal didn't need to buy a single outfield player in the summer. That's gonna come back and bite them in the arse.

Still amazed Rooney is getting a game. He really must have an incriminating video of LVG (or a clause in his contract) cos he, and Utd going forward, are utter dung.

He's been short listed to get into the FIFA team of the year! 'Rooney he's a big name and broke Englands all time goal scoreing record by taking a penalty against Switzerland, he must be playing well, we'll have to short list him'.

Anything with a FIFA stamp on it is complete crap.

Again, I'm amazed he gets a game for England as well.
When was the last time he played well in a game for them? I don't count Andorra or the likes. He was brilliant in Euro 2004 (I think) but done nothing since. Bagging goals against mediocre teams whilst choking against the big boys. World class indeed!

Yeah his tournament record is abysmal, he's only scored in friendlies and token qualifiers against minnows. Definitely not in the league of Lineker, Beckham etc despite the record.

This sort of situation with Rooney was when Fergie was the best at moving players on or changing there role in the team. It was always better for the player as well, apart from a couple of times.

I suspect Fergy would have moved him on the year RVP was banging them in every week, but Fergy knew he was retiring and left the decision to his replacement.

Yeah without a doubt fergie would have sold him at the end of the 12/13 season, I always said after the first time Rooney said he wanted to leave that fergie would sell him within 3 years.

Even his threat to leave was a joke. He complained that Utd weren't signing enough big name players. They signed RVP, who promptly took Rooney's spot and suddenly Rooney is threatening to leave!? You can't it both ways you fat, smoking, granny shagger.
