Palitoy stickers, posters, instructions and catalogues

Wow thanks for sharing, i bought the replica window sticker for my cabinet, cool you have an original and so many cool other goodies

Was really excited to pick this up for a fiver including postage. It's the Diamond Jubilee History of Palitoy booklet from
1979 which makes fascinating reading. Sad to think that the factory closed some 5 years later after Palitoy was bought
by Hasbro and Palitoy was history.

Very cool, just checked out the whole thread, impressive stuff! I didn't even know there were 2 Bounty Hunter leaflets, now I've got another one to get!

J help me out here; first issue Palitoy Taun Taun, did it come with an instruction sheet :?:
Obviously you haven't got one on ur post and I actually don't know what it looks like(if it exists) because I have never owned a solid belly Taun Taun

Obviously anyone who knows feel free to chime in

Don't think they did one as it wasn't needed on the solid belly. Obviously the open belly one had one showing how to shove luke inside.

I would love to get one of those 1981 Esb posters with the cloud car and troop transporter.

Finally picked up one of these thanks to walkie who had a couple of spares.

This is the ripped one and the torn corner was in danger of separating completely so I have shored it together with 2 pieces of peel away tape on the back of the poster.

Palitoy Rancor Keeper flyer.

Jason

Hi, can I just check with anyone with one of these Rancor Keeper flyers at hand, does the paper stock have an off white colour or is it pure white like the Emperor flyer?

Thanks

This is a wonderful thread; feels like it should almost be in the Reference Library rather than the Showcase given the amount of detail and attention given to it. Thanks for sharing - truly brilliant!

Been a while since I added to this.

Picked up the 3rd of 4 possible Bounty Hunter logs on ebay. Just need the original 1981 version with the Palitoy logo right at the bottom on the back of the card under the bounty hunter logo. Anyone got one?

cheers Jason

Jason, these didn't actually come with the Star Wars X-Wing, but with the first (non battle damaged) ESB-version.

Fantastic collection of paper work Jason!!!

I had an established dealer(mentioning no names)send me a pic of this rare instruction sheet apparently heat sealed in a baggie saying it came in the Star Wars boxed X-Wing! Now I don't buy that because I have never seen a mint boxed SW X-Wing with that paper work before, also I'm pretty sure that early Palitoy boxed vehicles/playsets had tape sealed baggies and not the heat sealed type found in US playsets and later Palitoy playsets??

I have an unused Palitoy boxed original X-Wing so will check the contents.

Regards

Picked up this bad boy at the latest Farthest From. It's the Retail Sales Division 1978 Palitoy catalogue.

Nice starry background on the cover:-

Check out those prototypes. Chief Jawa, a weird looking Tusken Raider and a Death Squad Commander that looks like an Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot:-

Some prototype 12 inch Luke and Leia's on this page along with a lightsaber:-

Prototype Tie Fighter, Land Speeder and X-Wing Fighter on this page:-

Great to finally have one of these.

Super catalogue, Jason. Nice to know that your efforts in recycling tatty old bits of card pays off :D

As an aside, that last page caught my attention. I've recently bought a board game off eBay that appears to be the forerunner of "Destroy Death Star" and is identical in almost every respect. It's called "Salvo!" and dates from the early 1970s and was manufactured by Palitoy. Great game but quite complex. A link to it is here:
