Jason, these didn't actually come with the Star Wars X-Wing, but with the first (non battle damaged) ESB-version.

Fantastic collection of paper work Jason!!!

I had an established dealer(mentioning no names)send me a pic of this rare instruction sheet apparently heat sealed in a baggie saying it came in the Star Wars boxed X-Wing! Now I don't buy that because I have never seen a mint boxed SW X-Wing with that paper work before, also I'm pretty sure that early Palitoy boxed vehicles/playsets had tape sealed baggies and not the heat sealed type found in US playsets and later Palitoy playsets??

I now have to mention my post may have been a little hasty as the dealer has now informed me the baggie is tape sealed which now makes sense! Also it didn't occur to me that we could be talking about a rare combo ie SW boxed X-Wing with the later Empire instructions in it! I have seen this with other pieces, my mate's mint unused SW Imperial Troop Transporter(he got from J Stevenson) that contains Empire paper work and my Kenner AT-AT late Empire(survival Kit offer) mint unused that contains Jedi paper work!!

Very pleased to pic this up. It's a 1983 "Focus on Success" trade catalogue with sections for Star Wars, Action Man, Action Force, Parker etc. The Star Wars sections is shown here and features the product range for Return of the Jedi.

Great catalogue Jason. I saw that and was tempted myself!
Imagine how much money those palitoy cards on the vader stand would be worth now!!!
Is that a Luke and a Han 30 back on it?

I think they are 41 backs, along with the Chewbacca below the Han and Stormtrooper above the Han. Check out the size of the palitoy logo compared to the 30b ugnaught to the left of the Han, they would need to be the same size and they look smaller.

The blurb says capacity is 120 cards, can see them 4 deep on the picture which would put 48 on there. Say 50k all in for what's there including the stand?

:)

Love this focus display Jason!

I've got one of the big Palitoy catalogues given to the store owners from 78. I'll try to get some pictures attached at some point (it's the one with pictures of prototype figures and vehicles in it). I also have a beaten up copy of that rare ESB fold out toy pamphlet. I remember getting it in my local toy shop (Martins in Bristol), back in the day. They used to have catalogues on the counter that you could take for free from time to time. That was one thing I picked up as well as several small ones with the death Star on the front and some Jedi one sheets.

Ah those were the days when people didn't mind giving things away!

Found the catalogue i have on ebay although i think they're having a laugh with the price.

I don't have the price list but there are some more Star wars pages than the ones shown.

Great collection The Palitoy logo is the best IMO. Love the display sticker & the 81 catalog & the focus on success. Some of those instructions have great artwork on the front.

Would love to see some pics. That ridiculous BIN auction has been up for months, would love to buy it at a more realistic price!

:)

Jason

I don't know why that guy doesn't realise that nobody is interested in that BIN price, maybe just a way to get a silly offer. It'll be quite a while before I can get my hands on my catalogue as it's stored away deep at the moment but as soon as I can get to it I'll post some pictures.....well unless somebody else beats me to it.

What a Palitoy feast. Love it. My favourites are the trade catalogues... great to have an insight into the marketing and merchandising from that era. I've got to get me one of those mini catalogues... great thread, Jason :D
