I've also got a soft spot for lego figures and the Fist fighter Spiderman was the only one I had growing up but absolutely loved it.

Such an iconic figure and I'm very happy that Mego are back in business today.

Wow, Ian! That's quite a collection. Absolutely fantastic stuff!

Mego FF too - brillint Ian, Mego is as iconic as Star Wars for that 70s toy vibe. They are great 8)

Thanks guys, I do love Mego figures and the loose ones are all Fist Fighters except The Penguin, The Human Torch and Thing (none of these were ever produced as Fist Fighters). I've put these together over the span of several years, first collecting all the UK FF and then finishing off with the Riddler and Joker which are US versions (unavailable in the UK). It was a lot of fun along the way and I have the UK FF Lizard to finish the run off and also picked up The Hulk recently as this was the only other UK released super hero Mego produced (which was never made as a FF version). I'll post up another picture of them all soon.

I've also got an almost complete Planet Of the Apes set and MR Spock and Captain Kirk as I've always liked these characters as well as a few others and several of the new Mego figures released (from the monster range). It's quite an addictive line once you start down it so watch out db94 and Mike as they can take over, especially with new Mego figures being released again in the US (I really hope they end up getting distributed over here at some point).

Here's a few monsters and things as well.

Great collection, I just have these five - and a carded Hulk. Sold as MOC, but I think he may have been removed and repaired

More terrific stuff Ian and Andy. Thanks for sharing these as they do bring back lots of memories. I only owned a Spider-Man back in the 70's / 80's, but several friends owned several of the others (Hulk, Batman, Robin, at the very least).

Also Ian, I love the fact that you chose to describe your post with the words 'monsters and things' when you have a MacReady doll pictured in it :-D. Do you have the Spider-head as well?

Those Mego look fantastic! Colin, that's an amazing family you have there, the presents aren't too shabby either.

Here's my latest pick ups, a Resident Evil GameCube, Megadrive 2 and Mega CD 2.
Definitely keeping the Megadrive but may move the Mega CD on, I've not fully decided yet.

Yes, the Mac came with the spider head as well but I don't have it on display at the moment, it might freak the little one out a bit and also I'm trying not to spoil all these great old movies for my young son, he needs a few surprises when he gets older.

Great line-up as well spoons, that 8" Hulk seems to be one of the harder ones to find at the moment for some reason and both of yours look to have a pretty uniform colour to them which I'm still on the lookout for as one of mines arms is a little off colour. I love the sealed one as well and would love to get a carded Palitoy example at some point (let me know if you're ever thinking of passing him on  ).

Won't be playing that, the Mega CD has gone, far to many expansive games for me!

Here's the last accessory I needed for my DC collection, will be picking up a few more games now.

I've been keeping my eyes open for a loose, mint, complete Marion for awhile now. The loose one I have is missing the stand and her dress is off white.

I recently came across a Well of the Souls Playset that included the first four figures with it. The Marion looked absolutely pristine in the photos and included her monkey and the stand. All of the other accessories for the figures were pictured with the exception of Indy's whip. I threw a fairly low bid out for the set thinking if I happened to win, I could sell off the other figures and the playset since I already have them in my collection. I fortunately ended up winning the auction.

When the package arrived, the box was pretty beat up (thanks for that USPS), but luckily the seller packed it really well and there was no damage to the Well of Souls box. I sifted through the packing peanuts looking for the figures, but no luck. I thought, "Oh great, the seller probably crammed them in the Well of the Souls box and likely damaged the figures." My heart skipped a couple beats as I opened up the box. Sitting neatly in one corner was a little white box. I breathed a sigh of relief since the figures were at least protected a little inside there.

As I pulled this little white box out, I noticed some numbers printed on the side. On one corner are 4 Kenner proofs of purchase. "Holy Crap!", I said aloud, even though there was no one to hear it. Upon closer examination, I discovered this is the extremely rare box for the Montgomery Ward 4 pack as featured in their 1982 Christmas catalog.

I immediately went online and found the images for this particular catalog and it clearly indicates if the figures were purchased with the Well of the Souls Playset, Montgomery Ward knocked $2.00 off the price. It then became apparent to me that this playset was purchased at the same time as the figures as indicated by the $20.87 price on the sticker. How freaking cool is that! Needless to say I'm going to keep this entire set together just because I'm weird that way. :)

One more thing before I wrap up my long winded post. Not only was the 4 pack box not shown in the seller's photos, but neither was Indy's whip, which actually was included and is still taped together! Also, these figures have clearly never been played with as there is no paint damage and their limbs are all still very tight.

I'm very pleased to say the least.

What a result!
Congratulations they look mint, and yes the right decision is to keep them together.
