Hi all,

Just a quick update on a vintage side focus I've been working on recently. It's the Kenner Indiana Jones toy line that I've been concentrating on putting a loose run together and I'm now only one away from completing it (Just the German mechanic to find). I really like the work that was put into these figures and I also have a complete Map Room set with the box as well as The Well of Souls set all complete with box. I may pick up the two other missing sets at some point but I also have the Arabian horse on its way so I'm pleased with what I have to date.

Sorry it's not the best picture and Monkey man and Toht are there but a little hidden, when I get a chance I'll try to arrange them all a little better so you can see them all in their complete glory :D

Hope you enjoy!

Ian

I'd skipped this what with all the MOTU - great run Ian!

Very nice proof Lee, are they as hard to come by as Star Wars proofs?

I have an axe for that red Indiana if he doesn't have one?

I appreciate the though bootyhunter. He has an axe but is missing the shaft of his spear

They pop up less often but usually cheaper

Those action man are amazing. Never seriously looked into prices. Are they collectable still at a budget?

Thanks x-pack and very collectable on a budget. The 60s stuff can be pricey but most of mine (70s/80s) were around £20-£30 with figure. The 40th anniversary stuff made prices drop a lot - but a pain if you just want vintage as you find it mixed in with job lots

Pick up a partial uniform and the fun is finishing it off. A few were pricier but I bought those complete off dealers as like Star Wars the rarer accessories can cost as much again.

Donny toy fair is great for picking up cheap loose bits to finish uniforms.

Go for it!

The more common boxed uniforms and figures can be had for around £100, but I've not gone down that road.

Finally finished my Indy run with the German Mechanic, I'll probably end up re-buying this figure at some point as he's not quite the 'mint condition' he was described as due to some light mould spots on his head (you've just got to love some eBay sellers  ). The Arabian horse was something that came with a lot I bought so happy with him due to how mint it is (as well as being complete with nothing broken). The 3 LJN vintage Temple of Doom figures are also in the lineup which was a nice short run to put together.

I've also included picture of my new Mezco Dredd Lawmaster which took forever to get released. This bike looks really good in the dark with all the lights on, I'm thankful that some nice Dredd figures have been released recently as I would have loved them back in the day.

Love the Indie stuff Ian. The horse looks great but you sound like it was not something you really wanted. Quality collection

I didn't mean it to come across that I didn't want the horse as it was something I had my eye on but didn't think it was essential to complete the figure set. It came up with a loose well of souls set that I wanted to buy for my son so was a great way of adding it to my collection. Now that I have it I'm very pleased with it and glad that it's in with the rest of the figures.

Really love this series and may well pick up the Cairo set as well as the truck to complete the entire run at some point. I'm in no rush for those at the moment though so quite happy to take my time.

A little bit of Kenner Indy info for ya....
The hourse and Indys body sculpt were first used in the Buch Cassidy and the Sun dance kid Kenner toy line...

I knew about the horse but not Indy's body sculpt, did they have the same arm sprung gun action?

Yes, same arm sprung action. The Cassidy stuff fetches a high premium now - I wanted one for my Indy collection.

I recently rediscovered my love for Kenner's Real Ghostbuster toy line and managed to snag an almost complete set of Fright Features figures for just £15! I was only missing Venkman's ghost companion but Neil (Jackabina) came to the rescue and sent me a spare one!

So..it's not much compared to what I used to own for the RGB line and there are definitely other SWF members who have far more amazing RGB collections but..here is where it begins (again!):

RGB collection 12th August 2016.jpg

The photos in the display are from my 5th Birthday party, June 1989. Real Ghostbusters themed naturally :)

Awesome joe. I think your picture need updating with all your recent activity. Top drawer.
