I recently rediscovered my love for Kenner's Real Ghostbuster toy line and managed to snag an almost complete set of Fright Features figures for just £15! I was only missing Venkman's ghost companion but Neil (Jackabina) came to the rescue and sent me a spare one!

So..it's not much compared to what I used to own for the RGB line and there are definitely other SWF members who have far more amazing RGB collections but..here is where it begins (again!):

RGB collection 12th August 2016.jpg

The photos in the display are from my 5th Birthday party, June 1989. Real Ghostbusters themed naturally :)

Awesome joe. I think your picture need updating with all your recent activity. Top drawer.

Haha! Need to do some shopping at IKEA first mate! :)

What era / dat are the Judge Dredd figures? Can't place them and don't recall seeing them back in the day...

Just noticed this comment sorry. The Dredd on the Lawmaster and one in the cursed earth jacket are new from Mezco (the bike I just received and figures were from last year). The Dredd on the far left and Death behind him are from the Legendary Comic Book Heroes Pitt Series which was out in 2007.

Really getting into my Dredd of late and reliving my youth (aren't we all  ).

I shared this picture with Neil and a couple of other people recently but it's literally just a "straight out of the box" shot, I'd rather be posting a picture of it all on display but that will have to wait till later in the year (and after a few more bits arrive).

This is all pre-production stuff relating to the Real Ghostbusters. I was lucky enough to obtain a marketing binder which contained copies of the concept art for many of the toys and also photography of the earliest prototypes (sculpts/hard copies etc).

I also purchased a set of Screaming heroes and Fright Feature proof cards as well as a couple from some of the other lines (super fright features, the original series figures and the monsters series).

The black and white papers are a combination of DIC model sheets for the characters, style guides, marketing paperwork and some photocopies of the concepts for the first series.

The large portfolio at the top is a complete set of original illustrations for one of the UK novels. There is also a front and back proof of the cover above it.

Think that's it for now! If anyone spots any Kenner pre-production items or anything from the 80's that's obscure/hard to find and may be of interest please do let me know! Always looking for prototypes for the RGB!

I was only slightly joking when I mentioned a while back that your latest interest in Ghostbusters was going to grow but you've really gone for it already

Amazing pieces to pick up and it just goes to show that when you sell up on a focus it can be recreated again at some point. Really happy for you Joe to get such an amazing collection in one hit and can't wait to see everything on display. :D

Thanks Ian! I was very fortunate to have spoken to the right people at just the right time. When the opportunity presented itself to purchase the majority of this in one hit a while ago I was almost too shocked to react. I went back and forth on it for a long time (and I had to part with a big ticket SW item to get it all) but eventually caved in and went for it. I'm really glad I did now as I've had a lot more success with pre-production items this time around than I did before.

Going to be picking up another Billy later in the year with some doors, then I'll be able to finally show everything off in a proper limelight!

Congratulations JOE that's a super haul

Love the concept artwork, fantastic that you were able to do this in one hit, can't wait to see
It in the Billy

I didn't know about that so big thanks for sending the link. I'm living in the US now so it's something I can't attend but it'll be good to see some pictures from it online once it's happened. I should have a big delivery here some for a whole stack of 3A Dredd goodies that I pre-ordered almost a year ago ( ). At the end of this month a really nice 12" Dredd is up for pre-order from 3A so it'll be a nice addition for whenever it turns up (probably at some point in 2018 knowing that lot).

It's been a good couple of years for Dredd Merch and nice to see both that character and other 2000AD characters getting the justice they deserve. I've been reading a lot of the comics and can see why I was so into it on it's first release. This and vintage Indiana Jones has all come at the right time for me with the vintage Star Wars related items hitting the roof with prices. I get the feeling I must have the collecting bug for all kinds of vintage toys

Nice looking collection and here's something I noticed the other day I thought you might like to see - http://news.toyark.com/2016/09/22/visionaries-arzon-spectral-knights-photo-shoot-222369

I don't remember this toy line at all, probably came after my time but always nice to see a bit of vintage. :D

Hey guys - I recently finished my loose vintage Indy run and found this section of the forum where it might be appropriate to share.

I put together a little diorama of my favorite scene from Raiders.

I picked up some sports memorabilia display cases that actually work pretty good and more importantly, the price was right. :)

Finally, a little fun with Photoshop.

Those diorama display boxes are a great idea, beats a more static/boring display that's for sure! Have you got them on permanent display?
