Other Vintage Collections

My latest bits following on from having stopped collecting SW for a while, obviously kept a couple of bits but mainly buying random stuff I like the look of :D

Nothing wrong with random and I feel we all need a SW break every now and then, it's good for the soul (as well as pocket!).

Great collection and I'm sure soon enough that space will be framed with different pieces and personally I find a great joy looking over a varied collection.

Very cool Ian. I see the A-Team have made an appearance in your collection. I pity the fool!!

I actually just picked up a Face figure for a custom I'm working on.

Thanks Ian, you're not wrong - simply can't bring myself to pay the current prices for the items I want so a bit of cheap, cheerful and varied was much needed

I have a small run of sectuars, did anyone else have/collect those figures, i think i bought a few from woolworths with my birthday money one year.

Then they disappeared a bit like visionaries and supernaturals

I think I have one loose one somewhere that I picked up in a lot years ago. I didn't know what it was at the time but quite liked the look of it. I don't remember this toylike at all from the toy shops but it probably was a bit after my time.

Sorry I can't really reminisce with you about it but post a picture up if you get the chance as it would be nice to take a look.

Ian

Yeah i think i will have to get them on display, ill do a few snaps of my other toy runs over the next few weeks

Anyone know anything about these?

As you can see, it's quite a collection. Most of them are pretty much mint. A couple with small paint chips and a couple with parts of a sticker having fallen off.

These were amongst my father's possessions that I've been sorting through this week; I have no personal love for them, but assume they're worth something? Would take them to a toy fair, but don't want to get ripped off either...

Anyway, any thoughts or help greatfully received.
Cheers
Steve

Looks like they're coming back! http://news.toyark.com/2017/04/13/sectaurs-kickstarteron-way-via-zica-toys-249298

Here's the A-Team and a Lone Ranger set I'd forgotten I had.
The knees are articulated on both sets. For the Lone Ranger set I'm sure it was for a horse but don't remember having a horse. Good figures.

This thread seems to have gone under my radar. It was the Transformers thread got me thinking about it! There's some interesting things to see here. I like the idea and freedom of picking up random bits you like the look of or that mean something to you, rather than having to stick to one toy line. I've done a bit of it myself getting a few favourites from childhood.

Cool, i did start on those matty collector he man remakes, they were really cool and well made but it got out of control, releasing 50 figs a year and playsets, soon became overwhelming.

Those Matty collector He man figures were fantastic but you're right about how large the collection became. They've now joined forces with Super 7 but fortunately I've only been interested in the 3.75 ones super 7 put out and I think I'm all done with owning just series 1 and 2. I'm sure there are a lot more to come from this smaller range but it does get a bit much.

I'm interested in seeing these Sectors though and it looks like they're not starting to release them until next year so there's a bit of time until I need to start spending more money. It's been a heavy month for me already with a few things I've picked up so I could do with a bit of a break.

Along with Star Wars and CHiPs, I also dig the Remco Mini-Monsters. The detail on these guys is amazing and they even glow in the dark. How freakin' cool is that!

Love these Remco Universal Monsters, I also have a full set of these and one on a card back. I thought Reaction did a good job with their recent versions of these but it's nice to have the vintage ones. Great castle as well, really sets them off!

I've been putting together a set of MASK carded figures over the past few months. I didn't actually know these two packs existed until recently, I had only seen the single figure adventure packs at the top before. MASK was probably my second favourite toy line as a kid so it's nice to add these to my collection, they are all pretty cheap too. Thanks to Iain for sending some of them over from the US where they are more common.

I never really knew this line existed until I started toy collecting but know that I would have been all over it in my childhood. It's strange with things like this as I have friends who owned this toy line back when it was released and are only a few years younger than me.

Just shows how you can stop noticing things at any given time. Great collection you've put together though Ed and I do like the scale and smaller boxed items. I have been tempted at times and am sure one day I'll have T Bob at least.
