Non League Football Chat

Great pics mate! 8)

We are really struggling badly now.

I mean look at this defending (or lack of it) for the Macc opener yesterday

Yeah mate o know its only halfway thru but just as much as youre fearing the dreaded drop theres no hope of us lifting the title the way were playing. We play 1 up front at home for ****s sake! Weve just signed a new zealand striker, he got a hattrick in that corby game on trial and weve bent over backwards to get him international clearance so hopefully he will be upto scratch.

Well its been a ****ing awesome to be a part of this league for the past 4 seasons including this one Unfortunately it appears our 4th is going to be our last :(

Truly pathetic attendance tonight at the Impact of 454 who witnessed a poor performance and an 16th defeat in 23 games. Too many. Same old say old. Unable to keep an clean sheet due to defensive errors and absolutely toothless upfront with no cutting edge at all. Clayton made a difference when he came on with 15 to play but it was too late. We Could have a snatched a very unlikely point at the death as a horrible mix up at the back for Gateshead let Lamb in and all he had to do was take it round Bartlett in but his touch was atrocious and the ball went out.

Didnt deserve anything and tonight just confirmed what we already knew - We are heading for the Conference North.

Its been an absolute pleasure being a part of this league. A league I never ever thought i would see alfreton participate in and I will take some incredible memories from it. Being 2nd for a few tangible hours and of course THAT game (Alfreton 3-0 Luton)

Will be a shame to see you go mate but its not over till the fat lady sings. I think we need to re name this non league chat as itll be easier for all concerned. God forbid if i cant post next season  On a serious note i bet anyone a tenner that were still down here :(

Yeah Liam, don't give up hope too quickly - there's always one or two teams that either fold or resign - and you aren't down until it is mathematical - look at Palace in the Prem last year

Thanks guys! We have been here before back in 2011 we had 14 points from our opening 22 games. We finished 15th with 54. One big difference tho we had a 25 goal a season striker in the shape of Liam Hearn. Dont have a persistent goal threat this time and we next to no positives from last night .

Simply must win on Saturday. No more excuses now

Well we kept any hope we may have alive with a vital 1-0 win at Nuneaton via a pen. First one we have been awarded this season!

Must be looking at a win against Eastleigh in midweek to pile the pressure on Southport who has some pretty tough games coming up. Starting with Macc and Woking away

There you go mate aslong as you keep your heads above water by beating the **** teams around you you should be ok :D Also, as i typr this, Southport are still in the fa cup so they may have their minds on other things

Yes mate and Eastleigh lost and had their captain sent off. Important game on Wednesday. We have been guilty of not building on our wins.

Still the manager is intent on playing one up front. The better sides are wise to that. :(

Awful FA Trophy draw at Lincoln again too. You should be cruising thru against Nuneaton

MASSIVE WIN! What a goal by Dan Bradley to win it! Fully 25-30 yards he cut in from the right after an excellent run by Johnson and unleashed a thunderous shot in to the top corner.

An end to end game throughout tho and by far and away the most exciting at the Impact so far this season.

Our first was totally down to the wind as it got hold of a Tom Shaw corner and the ball found its way to Cliff Bryne who finished, A similar story with Eastleight equalized too as the Wind once again played its part.

We certainly shaded the first half and could easily have been 3-0 up in the first 20 minutes. The second half was all Eastleigh up until the final 15. First a great run by Dan Bradley released Karl Hawley who took his one chance well/ 90 seconds later we conceded a really poor goal but showed really character and instead of hanging on we attacked and Dan Bradley came up with a real cracker.

Tonight gives me hope.

Lets see if we can carry on this good run at Lincoln. In much better shape now then we were for the FA Cup clash

There ya go mate superb stuff! 2 games ago you were dead and buried! How many times have Grimsby lost and i come on here ranting that's that then cum the next game and 3 points i'm giving it were gonna win the league ha ha that's why we love football matey!
Well having had no game for yonks we played a friendly at Boston Utd and beat them 4-0. Fitness and all that i suppose.
FA Trophy beckons and dont forget to have a gamble theres money to be won on the 1st round. I cleaned up last year but had to wait for Cambridges last minute winner at Needham Market for a few hundred notes
Barnet at Concord Rangers is my 1st licence to print money on Saturday

Yep. No idea where that performance came from Wesdnesday night.

Here are some highlights for anyone interested - (You can see me a few times most prominently on 10 seconds)

Wowsers Dan Bradley last minute what a stonker! To be honest i'm usually that steaming and obvs at a live game to even know the other results until i sober up and check a few days later! Saturdays are my only ; day off ' from work and family life so i live them to the full :D

And it gets even better today we beat the GIMPS for you mate!

Grimsby,Gateshead and us all through with 2-0 wins. What a week! :D :D

Yes what a time for Dan to come up something like that. His first of the season too! 8)

It got eeven better actually mate! See Bradders got a good elbow in on Lee Power ha ha messaged him last night to congratulate him  Obvs dont condone violence but we have a pretty special rapport with a few players down here. Brodie, Power and Hughes this coming Friday night, congrats mate, want you or Wealdstone Rangers in the next round, DO YOU WANT SOME??? :D

Ole ole ole ole MAGNAY MAGNAY!!! What a player this guy is. Released by Gateshead, jesus they must have some good players! Another 3 points against the murderers Forest Green last night and a quality goal from Lenel John Lewis, HIS NAME IS A SHOP!

Well what an absolute disaster. "The Nightmare before Christmas"

First off I have to congratulate Macc. By far and away the best team to Visit us this season. You punished our errors ruthlessly in which their were plenty even by our standards. We were absolutely shambolic at the back almost laughable at times. I mean that second goal? :spear: :spear: I have seen better defending at the local Miners Welfare than that. Great strike from Whitaker for the 3rd. I thought you were a solid outfit. Thnk you are play - off bound without a doubt.

However we were truly abysmal. What makes it worse is we actually lead and had something to cling to. Then we just royally capitulated and gave Macc a few early Christmas prezzies.
Even worse EVERY single score went against us. I mean what are the odds of a win for Southport,Dartford,Braintree and Welling all winning on the same day? Incredible. Thanks.

Even more surprising is we have played this wank after a set of decent results. We were absolutely shocking. The worse performance I have seen in many a year. Perhaps since that 6-1 reverse against FGR in our first season. Well the black clouds of relegation are well and truly back and victories for Southport in their games in hand could spell curtains.

Well just about sobered up from yesterdays trip to Macc! We met up on Cleethorpes train station at 8am in the under the clock boozer and safe to say by 10 pm last night we were rocking  Horrible open standing away end, howling wind, rain and snow but i estimate we took around 800 fans so had behind the goal and a side stand. Feared the worse with no Magnay and Nielsen but snatched a confortable 1-0 win over the team above us in 2nd place with a goal from, as per usual, the guy we have signed from them Jack Mcreth! Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, oh what fun it is to see Grimsby win away oh! Only downside to the day was services on way home bumped into Man Utd fans asked me if i was utd or geordie i said neither im grimsby he said were from grimsby i said i know you are cos youve got a man utd shirt on
At home to the gimps next game, love putting them in their place and then it all goes quiet on the web from their end for another half a year
