someone just won a watch i had on ebay for £150 at a buy now price and said that they had not only pain the full amount into my paypal account they had added an extra 50 quid to make sure i could send it fast..... when i checked my paypal account no money had been transfered so i emailed them (at that point i noticed they had 0 feedback) telling them that i had recived no money............. the postal address was in america and the "payment confirmed" email had come from nigeria...

i forwarded the emails to paypal and they confirmed that it was a scam/spoof email and someone was fishing for a free watch....... the emails had been labelled "paypal payment recieved" and sent from pay2pal.com

wankers....

anyway just thought i warn you all of a real scammer ( ) here are his details.....

These are the most common scams, you usually get a spoof email saying you have recieved funds and obviously you havnt, i always forward them a nice batch file hidden in an exe that shuts their computer down. :)

Surely to god once you see that they have given you extra money the alarm bells start ringing!? Even a moron would get suspicious at that SURELY!?
Then you see the "Nigeria" bit and that settles it!

True, but not all people are that aware, especially when it comes to spoof emails, although that was an obvious one

Like i said, forward them a lovely batch file hidden in an .exe that deletes all their douments then shuts their machine down....and hope they aren't in a cyber cafe :)

yeah ..but the ****in joke of it is that i got another email from ebay saying trust the buyer!! and send the item..... they can get ****ed....

until i get the payment into my paypal account its not going anyway ( as if i was going to anyway... even if he paid id have sent back the payment)

It's easy to do, you have to be careful. If you send an email from a web server you can address it from whoever you like, even [email protected] or something.

I hate those scamming feckers. They cant go out an earn their own money they have to try and cheat the rest of us out of ours.

Feckers :x .

Grant.

I bet they closed their account the same day aswell!

you will probably get another 'buy it now' from the same person with a new user name, now they have found you!!

Han dont try flirting with me now that jabba and angel have gone!

There must be some website that you desperate old sailors can use to vent your frustrations
