Can never blame the boy, and he clearly didn't know enough about vintage collecting to not do what he did. So not his fault at all. Can't really blame you either, but I for one know I wouldn't let my son (who is 6 years old - much younger than 15 of course) open any packages that had vintage in them.
I guess I am alone here thinking it's a damn shame that such a minty sealed example of a tough to find MISB example is now forever lost.
