Can never blame the boy, and he clearly didn't know enough about vintage collecting to not do what he did. So not his fault at all. Can't really blame you either, but I for one know I wouldn't let my son (who is 6 years old - much younger than 15 of course) open any packages that had vintage in them.

I guess I am alone here thinking it's a damn shame that such a minty sealed example of a tough to find MISB example is now forever lost.

Thanks for all the great comments guys. Like I said, when I questioned the seller about the item he told me it had already been opened so I bought it under the assumption of receiving an opened item and this is now exactly what I've got. I also agree Josh has done me a massive favour anyway, as much as I love sealed vintage figures, sealed vehicles just don't do it for me ( I love being able to handle the item itself so having it sealed away never to see the light of day wouldn't appeal to me).
