Can't really blame the RS mods for shutting down that one fast. I'm no bootleg/Uzay fan but Turk's find was pretty amazing and the OP was just being a jerk.
All that said, an Imperial Gunner sitting in front of a calculator trumps any cardback that I can think of. Might be keeping an eye out for one from now on

I still don't see how anyone can look at a Polish bootleg and not think it looks like crap. If you don't then I would ask you to stop sucking on the lead paint. They are only rare because no ****er wanted them, melted down or thrown away.
Lets face it, if our 7yr old selves had woken up Christmas morning with those under the tree we would all have cried into our bowl of Frosties.

People don't just collect vintage items because of the way they look they do they? Surly that's common knowledge. I don't like the way they look either and personally have no interest in collecting them because they don't appeal to me and my personal reasons for collecting. But i completely understand the various reasons others may collect them. The reasons don't really need listing. They're more or less the same reasons anyone collects any vintage collectables or antiques.

The guy bought them because they are his equivalent of people on here remembering shop displays rammed full of Palitoy 12 backs. I remember the toy shop with tons of them and it's hugely nostlagic to me. It became even more nostalgic before xmas when I realised the Chewie I opened back in 78 or so was worth nearly six grand :lol:
