i saw a votc carded boba fett the other day that had a vintage boba fett figure on it :? anybody know what that's all about?

Not seen one of those before, was it a custom re-card?

Love those VOTC and OTC cards, got the full sets and now I'm concentrating on completing a full loose set. The loose Han Endor is a pretty cool figure.

I'm torn both ways with the Clone Wars figures. On the one hand, I'm a fanatical completer of waves and collections, but I just don't like the figures themselves. I'm a massive clone collector too, the clones are tempting for the variety available, but again, I'm no fan of the "look" of them. I came to a compromise, just buying either the cheapest ones I can find, because the price is another good reason not to buy them, or just buying the rare ones of the main characters.

By way of introduction, I received two parcels today...

First my own TaunTaun sleeping bag! I was fearful that being a grown adult myself, the bag would be consigned to a glass case in the corner, never to know the pleasures of a starry night. Thankfully, the thing is HUGE. Note how he easilly dwarfs a standard four inch figure!

... and to keep this post on topic: I also received my mail-away Qui-Gon / Eopie set today.

Some modern buys over the festive period
Two of the new 1/4 scale Diamond Select figures. I really do like these a lot, the quality is amazing, knocks the ass out of Sideshow 12" for price, the Maul was £30, as opposed to ,say, the new Lando Sideshow that's going for £70.

One of the older 1/7 scale Kotobukiya pre-painted Vinyl kits, 5 minutes to build this dude, heavy and well detailed with removable Blastech hand gun in the holster.

And this was a 99p buy, a bootleg Power of the Force Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Here's some modern stuff that i picked up when i first started collecting again a year ago!

I was a bit all over the place when i started to collect again & i first started with the VTOC figures & then the silver UGH figures until i got them all & then i went on to vintage figures!

I also have the modern OTC TIE fighter & sandcrawler & the death star briefing, bounty hunters & 6 Lucas family figure sets which i'll dig out & take pics of later.

Got to love those Original Vintage card figures. I have a full set in my collection too, I have some loose ones in my collection but not many. My fave has to be the George Stormtrooper, a future rarity. I noticed the Jorg Sacal too, another fave of mine also. I don't have any of the silver Saga cards but they are great. The gold TAC are great, they are next on my hit list.

Clone collector,I'm mostly a vintage vehicle/playset collector & when i first started,i was looking to mix the VTOC figures with them.

Once i finished with the VTOC figures,i was gonna start on the OTC ones but when i realised how many there was(after buying the Boba Fett one)i then went for the silver UGH ones as there was only 11 of them.

I only bought the Jorg Sacul & Ephant Mon figures as my mate had them & said they were rare but my favourite modern figure is the 300th Edition Boba Fett,the detail on the figure is absolutely amazing!!!

I've now stopped buying modern stuff & have gone back to vintage figures!

Good luck with adding to the rest of your awesome collection!
