Postal issues aside I surrendered to impulse and a slew of bits arriving to round off the POTT2 collection - plus a few other bits…

The Transformers are G1 Reissues in the 1986 colours - so Hotrod is actual more pink than red, which he was in the film. It is a shame you can't see them, but the art work on the boxes are great. I also go for the Studio 86 series - I really wish back in 86 they had done these figures and made a deal out of the release rather than not. but hey 35 years later is better than never :)

The Reissues are well worth it - all the vintage loveliness with none of the silly prices.
There are some leaks knocking about online that hint that a G1 Hound will be released next year in the same packaging - that would be great as it's been 20 years since we had a Hound. Basically every reissue wave begins with Hotrod and Starscream - very annoying - so a Hound would be amazing.

Finally….I have a MISB A Wing.
This shows that patience is the key to collecting.
I've been looking for 3 years for a nice one at the right price.
Even the Pilot has surrendered before going into battle…🙄

The sad truth is I haven't opened the box and am not intending to :) but the images on the box are nice :)
It does raise an interesting question - if there is no way to see what is in the box, what is the point - it's a head scratcher - the collector in me just doesn't want to open it, but in reality just owning a box is a bit silly....

I totally agree, there could be a lump of coal in there, this is another reason that I don't collect modern anymore, that and the pre order fiasco.

I am trying to convince myself that the 40th Jedi stuff is a good place to draw the line - The pre-order stuff is rubbish and with stuff going out of stock in minutes takes all the fun out of collecting - and staring at boxes is just as silly.
I am glad that the bubbles are staying for now on most figures, but I think it will be a matter of time before they go and that will be the end of that.
Also - there is no more space in the house, so all becoming a mute point :)
I suspect this year could be the end of major purchasing...
