Nice score, Russ. I picked one up about 6 months ago from Sainsburys. It was on clearance at a fiver and the ONLY piece of modern 3 3/4" I'd bought up to that point but you can never go wrong with Fett and I love the box art. Didn't realise they were so hard to find.

And as for Ackbar, Jesus! I was in Florida in April and picked him up from the Disney Store in Downtown Disney (Disney Springs). I resented paying $2 over even the TRU price at the time but I loved the figure and thought he was OT so that was good enough an excuse for me to buy him. I was expecting to see the shelves full of them over here when I got back but not seen one! At £36 I may just have to flog it and wait until he turns up in numbers! What gives? How come he's not widely available?

Great pick up, Grinchy. As I've said before, I love the HW range. the vehicles are great fun but the package art is first class. Just a shame they always seem to be held together with tape! The HW vehicles are classy too. Anyone want to fill their boots on these get down to Home Bargains: £1.99 for single cars, £3.99 for double packs and £2.59 for the vehicles. If you're stuck for some LMK and I'll pick some up for whoever needs them, at cost + postage, of course.

Those Hot Wheels are super cool grinchy 8) ...nice one mate 8) .

The Falcon looks way nice (my favorite SW vehicle) 8)

Scruffy I would have bought loads at $2 a pop

The States is way cheaper than her in the UK....me and my wife were in Las Vegas in 2010 for my 40th and I popped into the Adidas store on the strip...the Adidas Gazelle trainers were £15 cheaper then they were back in the UK and that was with the taxes added on at the till (at the time they were £55 in the UK and just slightly over £40 in the States....needless to say I bought 3 different colour pairs  )

The problem with these figures line is the poor sales of wave one in the UK!

I spoke to many sale's staff from various toy store's and asked them why they didn't have full range of wave1/2/3 for sale... They informed me we get sent the toy's from our head office. Until we sell out a specific toys line e.g wave one figures, the company wont invest in purchasing wave 2 or 3.

Wave one toys in these range have not been selling well in the UK - as result wave one figures dominate the market. Thus promotion sale hike recently seen in many store's to get rid of stock.

Oh....loving the R2 figure grinchy :D

Cool stuff there Nav ....I'm guessing from the same place I'm getting my bits from ?..(still waiting for mine to turn up...thought they may have been here today :? )

Yes Russ

Thank you for info --- I send them email to asking them where my order! - order them same day you send me the texts that night --

Waiting for others to arrive from states and eBay --- post pictures soon mate

I asked my wife about an hour ago if we had any mail today...she said no...said are you sure have you check the mail box ? (Wondering where my new SW purchases are as they should have been here today imo)....I checked the mail box and low and behold there's the usual little red Royal Mail card there 'sorry you wasn't in there is a parcel to collect ...blah blah... ...asked wife has she gone out today and maybe missed the postman...."oh yeh I popped out for ten minutes to see a mate of hers" ....silly cow

A great pick up mate well done :D ....

What's the difference between this TIE model and the other one ?.....you say it's a Desert Damage version Nav but it lookes the same as mine but with different artwork on the box and with the same figure

Desert edition has sand damage to the wings and the antenna on the right wing folds in the to right and on original folds over to the left --

(This is not my actual figure - i have taken it from the net)

Yes Russ --- give a more realistic look I think ----- like it been in a battle :D

It only at TRU stores as it exclusive (EPIC BATTLES) ---- i have nearly completed this line now :P :P

They look great Nav...well done mate..
.so wish I'd been a bit quicker in buying Poe's X-Wing when i read they were at Argos for £15 but I missed them by one bloody day before they went back up to full price....

Only seen one Slave 1 ship in the stores (as I told you the other day) but the box was very tatty and had bashed in corners etc... :( shame really...

I've also reached my shopping 'limit' for this month as well so no big purchases for me until next payday :x :(

Great collection. Are you getting the millennium falcon and the other X wing fighter?

Yes mate ----- blue x wing and falcon are on my hit list - i wanted to complete all the others one first :D. The most difficult one to find was Ezra Bridger Speeder w/Ezra (Rebels) series which I had to ship over from states

According to sources the black x wing is not very best --- bent cannon which can be put into shape by washing their under hot water, adjusting them and when happy then washing them over cold water --- also rubber cones tends to fall off them which is best fixed by placing blue tac or putty into cone and re-fix it to the x wing --- the blue x wing is much better quality.

Hasbro probably knew of poor quality of the first one x wing and then decided to release the blue one - I am going to email Hasbro and find out why this was the case. Tell you guys what they reply .....

Guardians of the Galaxy animated figures if you look closely, Hasbro has spent time and money to add enhanced articulation to these figures and the paint operations are incredible. If this is a kids' line, why didn't they stick to the 5POA format? Why can't Star Wars get similar treatment and look this good? Will it eventually get this similar treatment?

What do the vintage collectors have to say, please comment?

That's a very impressive line up of vehicles etc...Nav 8) when you get the rest of the vehicles make sure to take a group photo of the whole lot mate :D

As Nav said earlier we went on a toy hunt today going to various stores sifting out those elusive hard to get pieces (obviously at good prices as well)...

I bought a couple of pieces I needed for my collection but tbh I think we are getting to the point that majority of stuff thats available in stores we'll have so its starting to look like it'll be Ebay,Amazon etc... for the harder to come by pieces at inflated prices unfortunalty :( ...

Anyway here's a few pieces I snagged today and also a few pieces I snagged during the week as well...

Todays haul...

I bought this two pack set after I left you Nav,I went to Tesco back in Leeds (The Seacroft store) for a bit of food shopping with my wife and decided to take a look down the toy isle (well it had to be done  ).As I said this is the last two pack set I needed to finish off that line...it cost me £15.95  but i'd not seen it any cheaper anywhere so I had to have it ...

TFA%20PIC%2034_zpsezkkrtn2.jpg

This next piece has to be a peach of a pick up (for me anyway)...I have only seen these in TRU in Bradford and are few and far between on Ebay (and sell for more than I paid for mine as well)...I saw these orginally a few weeks ago when I met Nav at his local TRU in Bradford but at the time I didn't bother with it as I thought i'd pick one up at a later time...I haven't seen any of these in any other store (that includes all the TRU stores I visit,ie...Leeds,Wakefield,York etc)...I asked Nav if they still had one in and he was pretty sure they still did so off we went...Luckly they had a couple of them in so I snagged one for my collection...

I really like this toy for some reason, and the Rey figure that comes with it I really like as well with her head scarf and goggles wrapped around her head lovely detailing 8)

I picked up the following figures from an online shop for very cheap prices (very chuffed to get the Tasu Leech figure for a very reasonable price and not some inflated Ebay price)

Wow guys you have both been hoovering up all the latest TFA stuff, well done on all the new scores, I've been looking at my local places for ackbar but no luck yet, hope you find him for a good price!
